Me and Lex!

Saturday night, Sara and Ryan had a Housewarming Party! To celebrate they had a "Low Country Boil", which is very popular in the SC & GA area! My Dad has actually done it before, not knowing what it was called. But basically you boil potatoes, sausage, corn, shrimp, etc. etc. in a big pot then pour it all out on a table covered with newspaper and everyone enjoys! Very fun! Great job Glenn's and congrats on the beautiful house :o)

What a cutie pie!

Ginobili sure does love to cuddle! Anytime we are on the floor, he finds his way into our lap or in this case hugging my back! What a cutie pie!

Last weekend, we dog sat Kayla! I can't believe how much bigger Ginobili is than Kayla! Aren't they both so cute though :o) It took a lot of time to get them to both sit there and look at the camera, but well worth it!

Excitement!

So we haven't had much to blog about lately, so I thought I would just update you with some cool pics...

Friday night, Lex emailed me at work at said "Let's go on a date tonight, I'll pick you up at 7:00" He had been working late the past few days, so I just thought he was going to work until 7 and when he got home we'd go to dinner. Much to my surprise, when he showed up, right at 7:00 I may add, he parked in the front, rang the doorbell and came in with two dozen roses and a bottle of wine! What a nice surprise! It's fun to "go on a date" even though we are married! It brought us back to the old days!

The other pictures are of our garden. We have apparently created a nice home for several little creatures. The first one is of a baby rabbit, you really have to stare to see him!

This one is of a frog!

Mom & Dad Kilgore

This weekend my parents came to visit us! We were so glad to see them! The last time they were in Greenville was October and then April before that! We had a lot to show them so it was a busy weekend! Check it out...

You can check out more pictures on my Mom's blog...the link is listed "Mary's Pictures"!

The first night we just relaxed at the house, cooked dinner and played cards. My goal was to make a fancy meal that topped Cindy's pecan crusted chicken...you'll have to ask my parents to see who's the better cook :o)

The next day we headed up to the mountains, had a nice picnic, and did a little shopping!

Fun A-Plenty

We also took them to a Greenville Drive game, which is our minor league baseball team. We lost terribly, but we had a good time! For lunch on the Fourth, we headed to the World Famous BEACON Drive-In! You won't go home hungry from this joint! Look at the mound of "Beacon Burger A-Plenty" - Double Cheeseburger with coleslaw, French Fries and Onion Rings!!! Needless to say we didn't eat dinner :o)
That night we headed to Downtown Greenville to watch the fireworks! We all agreed that they were probably the best fireworks we had ever seen! Great seats and a great view!Lex took this pic with our new camera! What a photographer!

Welcome to the Family!

So as I said good bye to the old Explorer Sport - we welcomed our new ride into the family! This car will now be something Lex and I can both drive (it's an automatic and it has plenty of leg room - not to mention it gets double the gas mileage!) We are so excited and look forward to building many more memories just as the well worn Explorer did!

After 7 GREAT Years...

The memories:

1. First day to drive a manual car - horrifying! But I learned!
2. Senior Year of H.S. - I felt cool cause I got a new car!!
3. Moving into the dorms, to University Commons, to the duplex, back home, Dallas apt, back home, Greenville apt and then lastly to our house!
4. Only getting one warning during the lifespan of the car! Man..I am lucky!
5. Cleaning it out for the last time today and watching it drive away!

We had some great times together, but it was time to move on!

Me, saying Good Bye!

Here's a cool pic of a spider web that was spun within
minutes across our entire backdoor!
