Backyard Bliss

So we have been working on our backyard since this spring...we started with expanding our back patio with cobblestones, then we put in a sprinkler system throughout both the front and backyard and this weekend we tackled the final task of putting in sod...check it out....

This is what we started with, a very small slab of concrete...
...so we decided to make it bigger with some matching cobblestones! (This was right after we finished, so it's still a little dirty)
This is to remind you how HORRIBLE our grass was to start with. And how much Ginobili has grown...what a cutie pie!

Friday, Lex left work early to come home and till up the entire backyard - 6 hours of work!
We woke up a 6:00 Saturday morning and started preparing for the sod. They delivered it at 9:00 and we started laying it about 10:00 and it took us (including Ryan) until about 3:00 to get it all laid! Ginobili loves his new grass!

We both want to thank our GREAT neighbors for helping us through this entire process. We couldn't have done it all with out them!! THANK YOU - Ryan & Sara and Clayton & Julie!!

Now are starting to plan a cook out to celebrate! Everyone's invited...

Dog Days of August

Lex and Ginobili playing in the common area behind our house....

Look closely...Ginobili can roll over! Good boy!

This weekend we also dog sat Bucky...they love to play together!

They even share their toys! :o)

Happy Saturday! Dogs are such a great avenue of entertainment!

Pretty flowers

We actually have flowers blooming in our yard! Yes...our yard! This is the first time ever, we never even knew this plant would grow flowers...we think it is a crepe myrtle...what do you think?

Carrowinds

This past weekend we headed up to Carrowinds on GE! Thanks GE! We got a few extra tickets and got to bring our neighbors too! It turned out to be a really nice day, not too hot and when we did get hot, they had a water park too! Fun times! By the way...aren't I muscular?! :o)
We decided to ride one of the water rides at the beginning of the day...so here everyone stands soaked! But it sure felt great!
This may look like we were riding on a small kiddie ride...but oh to our surprise, it was probably one of the scariest rides there....seriously! Everytime it turned we felt like we were going to fall out of our seat!
