Megann's Bachelorette Party

This weekend, a group of us girls headed to Folly Beach, which is just about 10 min. south of Charleston, SC! Megann & Matt are getting married in Seattle on August 2nd, so we had a girls weekend to celebrate Megann as a bachelorette! We had a great time!

We rented a townhouse on the island and it was much nicer than we expected. We had a great view of the water, a screened in porch, granite counter tops, hard wood floors, etc...let's just say I would love to live there!

The whole group: Lauren, Jade, Ashley, Megann, Me and Nora! (Megann had two bachelorette parties...one with her West Coast friends in Vegas and one with her East Coast friends in Charleston)

On Saturday night, we headed into Charleston for dinner and dancing. We were told on Friday night be the owner of a restaurant we went to, to call this new transportation company. They were new and were trying to pump up their business, so they were offering cheaper fairs...we gave them a call and ended up getting an Esclade and a chauffeur for cheaper than a cab! He came at our beckon call...it was great!

Congrats Megan - we had a great weekend and can't wait for the big day!

Tour of Texas 2008

This past week, we headed to Texas to visit. We started in San Antonio, visiting Lex's parents, headed to Austin for a wedding, then I headed to Dallas to see my family and then over to Hobbs to see my sister's house for the first time...here are a few pictures to show you our great trip!

Lake Austin - Gorgeous!!!

Friday night was the rehearsal dinner for Brian and Tessa. They held it on a boat that sailed Lake Austin. It was beautiful. This picture is of Danny, Toni, Lex and I.

The happy couple, Brian & Tessa. Lex went to High School with both of them.

Lex had the honor of being a groomsman and this was his gift - a plaque specially made for him (look closely).

On Saturday, I had the chance to see Alice & Angela. They had both moved into new houses since the last time I was in Austin, so I went to see both of their houses and meet the newest addition to the Guajardo family...

Mackenzie...what a cutie pie!

Saturday night was Brian & Tessa's wedding in downtown Austin. It was a beautiful wedding and we really enjoyed seeing all of Lex's high school friends.

Lex's parents came too, which we were very happy to be able to spend two nights with them. We wish we could have stayed longer, but definitely glad we had the time we had with them.

Lex & I - he sure looks good in a black tux :o)

The Pleasanton boys.

Next stop was Dallas...I spent Sunday thru Thursday in Dallas visiting my family. We had a great time shopping, watching movies, eating and just relaxing. Cindy came in on Monday and we surprised Mom & Dad with their Mother's Day/Father's Day gift...

a Wiiiii - as you can tell, I think my Mom was excited :o) They have really loved playing with us on our Wii's so it was about time for them to have one of their own! Happy Mother's Day & Happy Father's Day - we love you soooo much!

Mom treated Cindy & I to manicures/pedicures before Taylor's graduation as well.
Thank you - my nails still look great!

Class of 2008 - Northwest High School

The whole Kilgore family!

SURPRISE - she got a Mustang!!! Wow!
We are so proud of her and can't wait to see where God leads her - Congrats Taylor!

Mom has really become a gardener and photographer.
This flower is from the backyard, gorgeous!

We also got the chance to eat lunch with my grandmother, Me-Maw!
This picture shows all three generations!

While I was in Dallas, I had the chance to meet up with Emily, Susan & Janet. This was taken before Susan, Emily & I headed off to see Janet's new house in McKinney! I wish I had taken a few pictures of her new house - it is gorgeous!

After Dallas, I headed to Hobbs, NM - finally! Cindy & Matt are on their 3rd house and this is the first one I have seen. Sorry it took me so long...we had a great time eating :o) and showing me around town. This is a picture of Cindy's 5th grade classroom. She is tutoring over the summer, so I had the opportunity to meet a few of her kids.

Cindy & my niece-puppy, Molly!

We took this picture after dinner on Friday night. The night before I left. The sky was really pretty that night. The next morning they both woke up at 3:00 am to drive me to the Lubbock airport. I didn't realize my 7:30 am flight, meant that we had to cross a time zone and drive two hours to get there on time - opps - thanks for a great weekend!! :o)
