We've got a Boat!

Last weekend we found a great deal on a center console fishing boat! We decided it would be a great starter boat! I am very excited about getting out on the water. It needed a little fixin' up - so Lex spent today cleaning it up and it's starting to look much better!

Now, it's time for some visitors....who's first?

SURPRISE!!!

This past Saturday we flew out to Dallas, unannounced, to throw my Dad a SURPRISE 60th Birthday Party! Lex and I flew in in the morning and Cindy & Matt picked us up from the airport. We hung out around Carrollton all day, went to visit my grandmother and even talked to my parents, acting as though we were taking it easy in South Carolina! Little did they know, that Allen Shane, Cindy and I and been planning a surprise party for my Dad for the last several months! We had about 50 people expected to come to the Mexican Inn in downtown Ft. Worth! Mom & Dad had made plans to go to Shane's house that night to celebrate his Birthday with the family! Once they got there, they suggested they go out to eat, so easy enough, he followed and walked in a little confused...

He saw us, but it didn't quite register at first...what a face :o)

Mom, on the other hand, was shocked right away! It was a surprise party for my Dad, but we didn't tell my Mom either, because she would have spilled the beans! :o)

Now, he gets it! SURPRISE!

I think this is the FIRST time we have ever pulled anything off on my Dad. When we got them a Wii for Mother's Day/Father's Day - he had guessed it and wrote "Wii" on a piece of paper in his pocket. We were expected him to pull out a piece of paper that said "Surprise Party" on it! But we actually got him GOOD! :o)

Here's a shot of most of the group. We ended up having around 50 people! Thank you for everyone that came to celebrate with us! We had a great time!

We decided to go with a 1960's theme, kind of last minute. So Cindy and I wore peace signs and bought tie dye for the table decor. We even gave Me-Maw a necklace to partake!

Allen Shane, Valarie, Jonathan, Channing & Taylor - they did a great job fooling Dad into thinking they were just taking him out to dinner for his Bday! Little did he know...:o)

60 Candles & a Sombrero - what a good sport!

We stayed on Sunday too and went to a Frisco Roughriders game with Cindy & Matt, Mom & Dad, and Fred & Sandra! We had a great time getting to spend time with our family! We had to leave really early this morning, but wish that we were able to stay much longer!

Happy 60th Birthday Daddio! Glad you were surprised!

Love you!
