So we tried to go see Santa today at the mall, but the line was way too long. Now we know not to wait until the Friday before Christmas to see Santa!! So we came home and had a little photo shoot of our own!!
Merry Christmas!!

Just a few new pics!

Just a few new pictures for you!
Disclaimer: For those of you that read our blog and don't have kids yet, I am sorry that almost all of my posts are about Katelyn! She is the center of our world now and it's just so hard not to share her every move with you. Believe me...I didn't understand it until I had her either! :o) Enjoy!

Our Tree
Katelyn LOVES looking at herself in the mirror!

I finally put batteries in her baby einstein jumper and she likes it so much more now! She loves music and lights, that is for sure!

She is a true Texan (at heart)...Pink Aggie blanket and Pink Camo! She's my kind of girl :o)

She fell asleep in my arms the other day....

She must have been dreaming of fairytales and sugarplums....

Love this happy baby!

Cable Guy Boredom

So I have been sitting here with the cable guy at our house for about 4 hours so far today. They were here for 4 hours yesterday and two other times before that. Still no HD yet! Anyone out there have an HD Tivo that had problems getting the cable card to work? Or is it just Charter? They have given us great customer service though, very pleased with that...but we can't wait for them to figure it out so we can enjoy our new TV in HD (finally)!

In the meantime, I am entertaining myself online...hence the blog update. I even took a cute video of Katelyn to upload, but it must be too big because it's not uploading. She has begun razzing (spitting and making a cute razzing sound)...I was making it at her and she just starting copying me! I'll try again later, it's definitely worth seeing!

Katelyn has really enjoyed the Christmas lights on the tree! Here I am trying to get creative by getting her reflection in the ornament. Look closely :o)

I've let her play under the tree a few times, but you have to watch her closely. Now that she can grab onto things, she seems to go for the strands of lights and she sure has a tight grip!

Checking it all out! She is getting stronger everyday!

She really loves the mirror in her crib too. She will wake up and see herself and just start squealing! Too cute!

We have been very close to rolling from back to tummy for the past few weeks. She has rolled over twice off of my lap, but never on solid ground. Here I had her propped up looking at the Christmas Tree and she was getting bored I guess and spinning around to look at the stockings over the fire place! I'm sure she'll be rolling over soon. I'm just dreading the day we have to wean her from the swaddle.

Reaching out to touch that adorable baby in the mirror!

Four Months

Today Katelyn is 4 months old! It doesn't seem like it was only 4 months ago that our sweet baby girl was born. It feels like she has been with us forever. I can't imagine life without her, that is for sure! Yet at the same time, I can't believe it has been four months! She is learning new things everyday and we are learning more about her everyday! We are so happy and know that we are blessed to have such a sweet baby. This time of year is just so much more special with a baby. We look forward to starting our own family traditions to continue over the years!

We went to the doctor on Tuesday for her four month well check and she also got her shots done. She did great! Luckily no fever...just a little crying! She weighed 14 lbs. 9 oz., which is in the 75% for her age. She was 25.5" long which is in the 92nd percentile! Who would have thought she was going to be tall :o)

Here are a few (or a lot) of pictures we took today! Enjoy!

The monthly pic with Dotty!

Playing in the bumbo with The Cat in the Hat!

All bundled up to go run errands today!

Chillin' with her Daddy!

Getting used to the Jenny Jump Up! She really loves to chew on anything right now! No sign of teeth...just a chewin'!

So happy!!

Some good 'ole tummy time!

Flying high on my legs...and of course, chewin' on my knee!
Happy 4 month bday baby girl!!

Baptism and more...

Today we had Katelyn baptized. It was a great day for our family and we are looking forward to raising her in a loving Christian family. We are very blessed to be able to share this special day with her grandparents and godparents (Greg, being the standin for Clayton...wish you could have been there too :o) Here are some of my favorite pictures:

Grammy picked out a special dress for Katelyn and it was by far the most adorable dress and perfect to celebrate this special day.

She started out all smiles, but that quickly turned into a sleepy cry. She did great though once she was snuggled up in my arms with a paci.

Our family!

What a cute little bonnet!

and even cute booties!

And she is baptized!

Her Pops and Grandma!

Pappy, Grammy and Lindsay (her Godmother and Aunt) and Greg!

I stole this picture from my Mom...Katelyn loves smiling at her Aunt Lindsay. Although in this picture she was more interested in something on the counter?!

Katelyn LOVED Grammy's sparkly shirts all week! I think we are going to have many days of sequins and sparkles for this girl!

Starting to get some use out of the Baby Einstein Jumper! She was staring intently at the books on the shelf next to her.

She just loves her bottle...if you shake it in front of her and say "do you want some more?" she just puts the biggest grin on her face!

She has missed her Pappy! He just knows the right way to hold her and comfort her! She can't wait to come to the ranch and play with Pappy!

We have really enjoyed this week and wish that we could see our family more often. We are so thankful they were all able to come out and spend Thanksgiving with us. And be there to support us as she was baptized.

Happy Thanksgiving

We are so thankful this year for all of our family and our beautiful baby girl. We had a wonderful day with the Poth's, Kilgore's and Lanham's. Katelyn's first Thanksgiving turned out great - great food, beautiful weather and a wonderful family.

We all look very "fall" :o)

Grandma and Katelyn checking out the food!

Pops and Katelyn practicing her standing stance.

Katelyn was full of giggles and laughs...and of course squeals! She loves her family.

Just yesterday and even more today Katelyn has realize that her hands have more uses than just flailing about...she is swatting, reaching and grabbing on to toys, curtains, skin, necklaces, her bottle, etc. She is one smarty poo!

Lex fried the turkey again this year and did a great job. Here are Lindsay, Greg and my Dad watching the delicate process.
The full spread....we have plenty of left overs that will hopefully last us through the rest of the week!

Katelyn is really looking like a big girl these days! Look at her sitting on her Pappy's lap!
Enjoying a good chew on Grammy's fingers!

So happy everyone is here! Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving!
