I figured out how to get a clip of the Ultrasound on here - I just took my regular camera and took a video of the TV! Pretty cleaver, I might say so myself :o)

Here is a one min clip of little baby girl Poth! If you watch closely about half way through she will start hiccuping!

Yesterday, marked the halfway point - 20 weeks - here's a pic!

Friday night - we had the honor of babysitting Logan, while Julie and Clayton went out to dinner. I have to give all the credit to Lex. As soon as Julie & Clayton left, he started crying...I was already in the middle of cooking and trying to sooth him at the same time. A few minutes later Lex got home from work and took over. It only took him a few minutes to get Logan calm and soon after, rocked to sleep. He slept a little over an hour and then Julie and Clayton picked him up. I think Lex is going to be a great Daddio!

On Wednesday, when we found out we were having a girl - we had a DVD watching party and even got a first picture with Baby Girl Poth and her two new best friends - Emery & Logan! Maybe one day they will all look back on this picture and laugh!

It's a....

GIRL!!!

Well, we went to the doc today and had a great visit! We got to see our little GIRL squirming, kicking and even hiccuping. She was so perfect in every way. It makes everything seem so much more real and we are even that much more excited now! We did get a DVD of the whole thing, but I'll have to play with it to see if I can get any clips of her!

One note to future mommy-to-be's....apparently the trick to see lots of movement is to eat cookies before you go in for an ultrasound. On Sunday I made some chocolate chip cookies and probably had one too many, but it got our little girl kicking like crazy and it was probably the first time I really felt her kick and knew what it was. So I had the great idea to eat a cookie or two before we went into our appointment and boy did it work. She was moving around and kicking like crazy! Then at the end she got the hiccups and it was too cute!

The doc said everything is looking great. She is about 10 oz. and in the 42nd percentile and measuring right on target for August 15th still! Here are a few pictures for you to enjoy!

Profile view of her face

The "it's a girl" shot ;o)

Profile of her head and body

This one is a little scary - she is looking towards us and you can see her skull with two eyes - can you see it?!

Two days and counting...

Wednesday is the big day...we should be able to find out if we are having a boy or a girl in the ultrasound!! I thought it would be fun to see if anyone has a vote as to what they think it is...we are still up in the air. At first I was thinking it was going to be a girl - mainly because all of the baby clothes and nursery decor is so much cuter for girls than boys, but lately I have been getting the boy vibe!

Let us know what you are thinking and we'll let you know on Wednesday what it is!! YEAH!

Welcome Emery Rose Glenn

Yesterday, Sara & Ryan had their baby girl, Emery Rose Glenn. She weighed 7 lbs. exactly and has a full head of hair! YEAH! Two down, one to go! (out of us three couples - guess we're next!) Luckily we have a few more months to prepare though! Here we all are at the hospital earlier today meeting Emery!

I love this picture!

All dressed up...

Last night we headed out to the annual GE Prom! We were so glad to get all dressed up and enjoy a nice evening out. We had a great time chatting with Lex's co-workers and being treated to some great food and drinks (water for me!) I normally get a picture of the two of us, but didn't seem to take one this year! I did however get a pre-party pic of my 18 week belly! I was very excited that my favorite pink dress still fit. The pleats were in just the right spot ;o) I can't believe we will find out if we are having a boy or a girl in just another week and a half! And only two weeks away from being at the half way point! We are starting to narrow down some names and even picked out some boy bedding and girl bedding yesterday at Babies R Us, now we just need to know which one it is :o) We also purchased a nice rocker/recliner yesterday that will be used many nights in the nursery, but for now we are really enjoying it in the living room!

Welcome Makenzie Taylor York!

This past Thursday - my good friends Janet & Matt had their first baby girl. I am still trying to get them to get their blog back up and running. Maybe they will now that they have a little girl to show off! In the meantime, I had to share a few pics for them! She's adorable!

The much awaited...

belly pic!

17 week Belly!

17 Weeks

Fetal development in pregnancy week 17:
Don't be too shocked but... your baby is EVEN bigger than it was last week, not to mention getting cuter, and smarter every day! As you’ve come to expect, there’s no shortage of growth and development this week: your fantastic little bean stalk has added yet another half inch to their overall height-- making them nearly half a foot long! Their little limbs have reached (or are within one week of) their relative proportions, and will continue to grow evenly with the rest of the body after this week. Reactive listening has begun for your baby, even though their ears are not yet structurally complete or fully functional. Meanwhile, different parts of their astonishingly complex brain are developing to process your little one’s hearing and other senses, (you know, sight, smell, taste and touch). Mind boggling factoid of the week: if you’re having going to have a little girl, her ovaries have already produced millions of primordial egg cells, which, within a few weeks, will develop into actual eggs! Phew… just wait till she’s a teenager eh?

6.5" Snow in Simpsonville

Wow...we got hit hard and it is beautiful! The snow started around 4:00 yesterday afternoon and really came down hard. We woke up to a beautiful layer of snow and ice. My office officially closed, but Lex actually slid his way into work today. Here are a few pictures....
