Baptism and more...

Today we had Katelyn baptized. It was a great day for our family and we are looking forward to raising her in a loving Christian family. We are very blessed to be able to share this special day with her grandparents and godparents (Greg, being the standin for Clayton...wish you could have been there too :o) Here are some of my favorite pictures:

Grammy picked out a special dress for Katelyn and it was by far the most adorable dress and perfect to celebrate this special day.

She started out all smiles, but that quickly turned into a sleepy cry. She did great though once she was snuggled up in my arms with a paci.

Our family!

What a cute little bonnet!

and even cute booties!

And she is baptized!

Her Pops and Grandma!

Pappy, Grammy and Lindsay (her Godmother and Aunt) and Greg!

I stole this picture from my Mom...Katelyn loves smiling at her Aunt Lindsay. Although in this picture she was more interested in something on the counter?!

Katelyn LOVED Grammy's sparkly shirts all week! I think we are going to have many days of sequins and sparkles for this girl!

Starting to get some use out of the Baby Einstein Jumper! She was staring intently at the books on the shelf next to her.

She just loves her bottle...if you shake it in front of her and say "do you want some more?" she just puts the biggest grin on her face!

She has missed her Pappy! He just knows the right way to hold her and comfort her! She can't wait to come to the ranch and play with Pappy!

We have really enjoyed this week and wish that we could see our family more often. We are so thankful they were all able to come out and spend Thanksgiving with us. And be there to support us as she was baptized.

Happy Thanksgiving

We are so thankful this year for all of our family and our beautiful baby girl. We had a wonderful day with the Poth's, Kilgore's and Lanham's. Katelyn's first Thanksgiving turned out great - great food, beautiful weather and a wonderful family.

We all look very "fall" :o)

Grandma and Katelyn checking out the food!

Pops and Katelyn practicing her standing stance.

Katelyn was full of giggles and laughs...and of course squeals! She loves her family.

Just yesterday and even more today Katelyn has realize that her hands have more uses than just flailing about...she is swatting, reaching and grabbing on to toys, curtains, skin, necklaces, her bottle, etc. She is one smarty poo!

Lex fried the turkey again this year and did a great job. Here are Lindsay, Greg and my Dad watching the delicate process.
The full spread....we have plenty of left overs that will hopefully last us through the rest of the week!

Katelyn is really looking like a big girl these days! Look at her sitting on her Pappy's lap!
Enjoying a good chew on Grammy's fingers!

So happy everyone is here! Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving!

I thought I would post some new pictures we took this week! Notice the new dark hair! What do you think?? I'm still debating whether or not I am going to keep it this dark! I need your opinion!

All wrapped up after her bath!

3 Months

Katelyn is now 3 months old! Wow, how much she has grown in the last few weeks!! She is now about 13.5 lbs and really filling out. She is smiling so much more and really "talking" to us a lot! Our favorite part of the day is when she wakes up in the morning and when we look over the side of her crib she just gets the biggest smile and starts "screaming" in excitement! We are loving our little baby duck so much! You can't help but have a smile on your face when she's awake.

I started back to work on Wednesday and we had to take her to daycare for the first time. It was heartbreaking to leave her there, but the ladies that take care of her are so nice and seem to really do a good job. She didn't adjust too well though. Since she does still like to sleep so much, she wasn't able to take as many or as good of naps as she normally takes. The last three nights she pretty much sleeps the entire time she is home. For instance, last night she slept from about 5:00 until 7:30 when we had to wake her up to eat dinner and then we put her right back down for the night.

With that said...we have some exciting news too. We have decided that I am going to stay home with Katelyn full time! This was a hard decision, but after going back to work and trying to see if it will work we decided that it is best for our family right now for me to stay home! I am so excited to be there everyday for Katelyn and really get to watch her grow up! There are so many exciting things we will get to do and I am so thankful that we are able to allow me to do this for now.

I took this picture on Thursday evening (her three month old birthday) after getting home from daycare and before going back down to sleep....she was a little too tired to smile :( poor thing!

This picture we actually took a little while ago, but I forgot to post it. Katelyn and Daddy were having a serious conversation on the couch! What a cute belly she has!

Rolling Over!!!

Katelyn Rolled Over for the FIRST time by herself this morning!!! YEAH! We are so excited!!

Lex really worked hard with her this weekend. He made it a gradual process and she finally figured it out! Great job Daddio!

Disclaimer on the video before...she really is starting to like Tummy Time better...she gets into more of a playful stance and lifts her chest up off the ground and tucks her knees under her belly a little and smiles. I worked with her for about 10 minutes before taking this video, so know that she doesn't cry like this the whole time! She rolled over one time before this by herself without crying at all. I think she was getting a little worn out. Poor baby...we took a break and watched the musical star after this!
