Clap Clap, Rock Rock

Katelyn loves to clap now when she gets excited! It makes me smile, so I thought I would share!

Rockin' Around the Block....she is still rocking on her knees like crazy, so we are definitely getting anxious about Katelyn crawling. Don't get me wrong, it's nice to be able to walk in the other room and not worry about her going too far, but we are ready to watch her start exploring life a little more.

Anyways...she is getting closer everyday! Here's a video to show you her progress.

If I leave her for just a minute even with Lex, I am hoping that is not the moment she decides to crawl. I mean, that is the advantage of staying home full-time right...getting to witness her every milestone! I'm axiously awaiting!

Katelyn has decided that sleeping on her belly is much more comfortable these days. She also LOVES her blankie, I haven't tried yet, but I think she would not be able to fall asleep with out it. As soon as I lay her down, she reaches out and is ready for me to cover her up, then pulls it close and rubs her face and eyes with it. What a cutie!

Here is a pic of her first tooth! You will have to zoom in to see it. I took this last Friday and today it's much bigger! She also has one more coming in right next to it, but I think it will be a few weeks before it will be big enough for a picture!

Friday we went to an outdoor playdate. I think Katelyn really enjoyed it, especially watching all the other little kiddos!

She LOVES to pull up on us. She has always enjoyed standing, but now if we get anywhere close to her with our hands she reaches out and wants to pull up on our fingers!

Relaxing in the pool...she loves to rest her head on the outer ring. We did finally put her in it with water, but apparently didn't get any pictures of that yet. I'll do better once it gets warm again!

8 months

Katelyn is now 8 months old. I feel like this is a big milestone, she seems like such a big girl now. She even has her first tooth! It's just peeking through the skin now, but it's a sharp one!

She was so interested in her shoes it was actually hard to get her to look at the camera!

Celebrate Easter!!

We had a nice Easter as a family of 3, but missed our family and being able to celebrate this wonderful day of celebration with them. Hopefully in the coming years Katelyn will get to celebrate with her cousins and hunt some eggs!

The weather was beautiful, so after church we headed downtown and had a nice picnic at Falls Park. Thanks Angie for Katelyn's adorable dress!

I had to include this video too...Katelyn has two new favorite songs...Somewhere Over the Rainbow by Doris Day. I started singing it one day and she just smiled from ear to ear, so I "youtubed" it and found the Doris Day version. I think she is addicted. Once we got on youtube, we started searching for other songs and found this one....

Spring

Mesculan with spiced sugar almonds, gorgonzola, raspberries and a white wine vinegarette for part of our Anniversary Dinner.


We created a restaurant feel in our own home with jazz music and candles. MUCH better than eating out! We both love to cook and really enjoyed making our own gourmet meal together!

Getting ready to crawl...theres a video of her at the end of this post. It's so hard to catch her in the act b/c she gets so distracted by the camera. She is getting up on her knees and rocking, but no crawling yet.

We love that Gino just lets Katelyn pretty much do anything she wants to him and he just watches. He is such a great dog!

5 Years down...

...50+ to go! Today Lex and I are celbrating our 5th wedding anniversary. 5 Years sure makes me feel like we are getting old...I guess we are turning 30 this year too (crazy)! We have a big year ahead of us, we are celebrating 5 years of marriage, we are turning 30, our baby is turning 1, our dog is turning 5, we've owned our house for 5 years, etc. etc.! My how our lives have changed in 5 years! We are so blessed to have each other and I couldn't imagine life any other way! Here are a few pictures from this day in 2005!
