New Developments

Katelyn is taking this standing thing seriously! She just started standing briefly on her own this past week...you saw the pics...then last night she took her FIRST STEP!!! (yes, just one...but it was so close to a full fledge walk!) Lex was at volleyball, so he missed it and I kept trying to get her to recreate it for the video, but none the less she was too distracted by the video camera.

Today, while we were playing in the backyard, she stood up on her own, like she had been doing it forever! Once she did it once, she kept on going. Within 10 minutes, she probably practiced this around 10-15 times in a row. I am so excited! Check it out!

Look, No Hands!!

Katelyn will now let go and stand alone! I don't think she realizes what she is doing though. We have to distract her so she doesn't have a chance to think about it! She looks like such a big girl in these pictures! Guess this means the next step is taking her first steps...I'll be waiting with the video camera that's for sure!

Hitting the town

Katelyn LOVES to eat out! We took her to eat Mexican for dinner last night for the first time and she loved it, what a surprise! This is the only picture I got because she would barley let me put the fork down long enough to scoop up some more beans! Yum!

Last week we got together with our playgroup for a swim party to say goodbye to two of the kiddos (and their Mommas :o). We are sad to see them go, just as we are starting to get to know them more! We had a blast and wish them the best in their new homes!

We also took advantage of the Bouncing Babies classes at the library! We try to go to the Simpsonville library on Wednesdays....

And the downtown library on Thursdays! Lots of fun!

Tonight we went to the Glenn's for dinner and all three kids ate spaghetti and meatballs...what a mess...but they loved it!

We also visited our friend's Betsy & Lucas' new baby boy, Jase, on Saturday! I completely forgot to take a picture! But, he is so sweet and we wish them the best in the upcoming days!

We had a fun week "hitting the town" baby style! :o)

I just discovered Picasa's picture editing program and love it! It's so easy...this is what I came up with tonight...didn't spend a whole lot of time on it, so they aren't great, but it's a lot of fun!

Wow, the potential ahead! Love it!

11 Months & Happy 4th

ONE more month until our baby turns ONE! I am already starting the plans for her party! We've decided to stick with family and a few friends, we've got plenty of years ahead of us to do a big schindig! :o) I am super excited about getting together all the fun details, decorations, food, and I'm starting to test out some recipes for making her cake, so far the first was a flop...but I've got another one I'm going to try tomorrow!

Anyways, look close and you can see her top two teeth on this one. They are finally getting big enough to see!

We celebrated the fourth by having a cookout with the Ciomperlik's and going swimming! Lex and I could actually see a few fireworks from our back porch too, which was nice since this little one wouldn't stay up long enough to head out anywhere to watch a good show :o) Next year, we'll have to make her, I know she would love it!

One of my absolute favorites!

We are dog sitting Rosco and Kayla (Matt & Megann's dogs) this weekend and Katelyn is loving it! She just chases them around and laughs at them. Luckily they haven't seemed to care that she pulls their hair and pokes at their noses!
