Katelyn still crawls most of the time, but she sure knows how to walk! I finally thought to catch it on camera! She loves her squeaky shoes too, thanks Diane!

Parents Visits

Sorry, I am getting behind in my blog posts! Lots of fun stuff going on in the Poth house lately! Katelyn's Bday, then a trip to Arkansas with the Kilgore fam (see the next post), then back to SC for Katelyn's party and spending some time with her grandparents! And in the meantime I made the decision to go back to work at FGP part-time. I start on Monday and will be working in the office 2 days a week and as needed from home the other days. I could not have asked for a more flexible schedule, I think it's going to be great for all of us. We found a great school for Katelyn and think she will really enjoy it (once she gets adjusted, that is!)

Anyways, we really enjoyed our parents visit...here are a few pictures of the fun!

Lake Catherine State Park - Arkansas

Last week we went to Lake Catherine State Park with my parents, my sister's family and my brother's family. This was the first vacation we have ever all taken together and we hope to make it a tradition. We each had our own cabin over looking the lake, it was so nice! I've tried to put a few pictures of everything we did, but again between all the pictures I had hundreds to choose from! Here are a few in no particular order!

We went to meet the horses and a few of us were planning to ride, but it started pooring down rain, so we decided to shop instead :o)

We celebrated all of the family's August birthday's while we were there, three of which are on August 5...crazy I know! My mom turned the big 6-0 last year (the day Katelyn was born) so we decided to celebrate her 60th (plus 1) this year! Jonathan, my other nephew turned 14, also on August 5th and my Dad will be on the 28th...so we had a lot of cake over a short trip :o)

Katelyn just loves Jonathan...she let him hold her while I tubed and Lex drove the boat, until she decided that the lifevest was too constraining that is (which I can totally understand, she doesn't look to comfy in that thing).

I think that's it....we had a blast and can't wait for everyone to come out here to the SC beaches next year...riiiight?!?!

Birthday Party

On Saturday we officially celebrating Katelyn's Birthday with a full-out party!! We are so happy to share this with a few of our close friends and our parents! Everything turned out great and it's a day we will never forget! Here are a few of the hundreds of pictures we took :o)

Happy 1st Birthday!!!

One year ago today we were welcoming our sweet baby girl into this world! I can't believe it has been a whole year and how blessed we are to have Katelyn in our lives now. We couldn't imagine anything different, she is such a joy everyday!

We have several celebrations planned over the next week, so today was just about spending time with our baby and making it a special day for us to remember. We started the day with her very first stack of french toast, which she loved! Next on the list was Gymboree, Lex met us there on his lunch break to join in on the festivities! Then we headed out to get her 1 year pictures taken, which I will have to add later on, but she did great! Then another first, chicken nuggets from Chick-fil-A, which again she loved! We finished the night off with some cake smashing...again, she loved! Check it out...

Her favorite present....personalized Pottery Barn chair that is just her size! She smiled ear to ear when she first sat in this chair and the glow is still strong! She can't get enough of climbing and sitting in her very own chair! Thanks Grammy & Pappy!

At Gymboree, she wasn't scared to climb her way up every obstacle she could find. Now we just need to work on how to get down :o)
