Christmas with the Kilgore's

We started our trip this year in Carrollton with my parents. We spent about 4 days here and then headed to Pleasanton to see the Poth side of the family. What a great time we had & wish we lived closer so that we didn't have to sqeeze in visits with friends & family we haven't seen in a year. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year! We are very excited to see what 2011 brings!

Cousin Drewski...what a happy kiddo!

The whole crew!

Matt in footies...and the rest of the Fleharty Clan too! :o)
What a cute couple :o)

Can you believe this is for 2 kiddos, can you imagine if we had more? They are two lucky little kids.

Elmo has become a BIG hit lately. She loves "Elme"!
We went to visit my Granny on Christmas day as well, this is the only picture I got of everyone.
My sweeties!

I love how my new camera really makes the lights on the tree glisten.

Getting a little "Whale" time before bed. (Meaning Justin Roberts "Willy Was A Whale"...anytime K sees a computer/TV/etc. she requests to watch "whale"! It's getting a little old, but still pretty cute :o)

The goofballs :o)

We thought our trip out to Texas was packed, but on the way back you couldn't see out the back window. I will say, it was a pretty nice little set up. Kaki (Paci), Kiki (banklee), DVD player w/Elme = one happy traveler :o)

Christmas with the Poth's

This year in Pleasanton was so much fun. Katelyn really enjoyed going to the ranch and the weather ended up being so nice - 70's easy...one day the car was registering 79 degrees & I loved it! We saw a lot of family, did a little shopping, Lex went hunting & fishing, ate really well & opened lots of great gifts. Thanks for a great time Poth's - we can't wait to see Katelyn grow up enjoying the ranch!

This is the tree Fred planted when Katelyn was born - it's going to be fun to watch them grow up together.

One day we took lunch to Nanny & I think she really got a kick out of Katelyn! Especially after a candy cane & a giradelli chocolate :o)
On the 28th, which was Fred's Birthday the whole Poth side of the family (plus my Uncle & Aunt that live in San Antonio) came out to hang out at the Syring's cabin (across from the Poth ranch since it was raining that night). We had delicious sausage & lots of fixings. Katelyn was definitely a huge part of the entertainment, I really don't know where she gets her voice from, but she is one loud girly & it cracks me up! She sat down at the "kids" table and I tried to sit next to her and she just pushed me away. She loved feeling like she was one of the big kids.

Sam Syring raises deer too & was able to get at least 6-8 to walk right up to us to eat, everyone just loved that.

A little "whale" time with Pappy.

And a good book with Grammy "Emmy" before bed.

Now, it's present time...I think she likes present time, don't ya think?!

A New Play Kitchen!! Now that we are back home, we have it set up perfectly in our kitchen...I love that she has something to play with while I cook now, will make my life a whole lot easier :o) Plus, it's adorable!

She definitely loved the boxes just as much as the goodies inside though, not a surprise!
Surprise, a Keurig!!

Thanks for everything, we are all one lucky family to have each other! Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to all!

Our Family Christmas

(notice there are little to no ornaments on the bottom half...haha)

We decided to have our own family Christmas this morning, we got up early cooked a big breakfast and then played Christmas music while we opened presents. It was really nice to start our own little family traditions now that Katelyn can really get into opening presents. She was probably most excited about her new adriondack chair for the back porch & watching "Willy Was A Whale" by Justin Roberts on youtube (free), Lex got a new coffee maker & a North Face jacket and I got blog books and a new camera...woo hoo! I am still trying to figure it all out, but so excited! Can you tell which pictures above are from the old camera versus the new? They aren't the best, but like I said I'm still learning! Merry Christmas!

Meeting Santa

We took Katelyn to meet Santa on Saturday, he sure was a jolly ol' fellow! She did well and really enjoyed the lollipop that she got afterwards too! I think she's got her final molar coming in, so all the pics had her hand in her mouth, but we thought it turned out pretty cute! And she got to ask him for lots of toys just in time for Santa to come visit, whew!

Jesus is the Reason for the Season

Katleyn is learning early about the meaning of Christmas, we love her Little People Nativity set from the Syrings....she knows exactly where baby Jesus goes in the manger and just loves playing "Away in the Manager" over and over. This is definitely a toy I am going to look forward bringing out every year! We look forward to teaching her all about the true meaning of Christmas!

Gino finally makes it to the blog again - poor thing. He used to be my main subject, but Katelyn has become the alpha dog around this house. She definitely bosses him around and he just takes it. Love this dog!

Merry Christmas! **And keep scrolling I made 3 posts tonight :o)
