First Haircut & Other Pics

On Saturday we went to get Katelyn's hair cut for the first time. They took off about an inch & a half and evened it out across the back. She did a great job, but was definitely not sure about this strange lady messing with her hair. It was packed, so we didn't get the fun car shaped chair, which I was a little dissappointed with, mainly because it would have made for a cute picture. Plus, she loves playing in cars, so it may have distracted her a little from the actual hair cut, oh well...maybe next time!

Final product! This weekend was beautiful...so we played outside a lot! She loves her playhouse!

Mimi's poncho & hat...she knitted this for Katelyn for Christmas! too cute!
Playing Yahtzee!
Chilling in her future ride..a Honda Odyssey at the car show...I think she liked it!

Andy & Katelyn cheering on the Aggies for the Bowl game a few weeks ago! Gig 'em!

Drew's First Birthday Party

This past week Katelyn and I traveled to Hobbs, NM to visit my sister's family and help celebrate little Drewski's 1st Birthday!

The party was a "Rookie of the Year" theme, which was perfect. Drew LOVES balls, of all shapes & sizes. Who knows, maybe he'll end up being a baseball player?!
Full baseball game fare...Katelyn even got her very first hot dog...she liked the ketchup on the bun more than the dog :)

What a cutie pie!
Drew had no problem figuring out what the frosted cake was in front of him, he went in head first...and then later got it all in his ears and hair.
The Fleharty Fam

Mimi & Drew drinking some milk, yum.
Love this pic of Pops & Drew too.
Me & the kiddos! We were there Wednesday night thru Saturday afternoon, so we had a lot of time to play in Drew's new playroom too! I didn't take a lot of pics outside of the party, but we really were glad to visit the Fleharty's one last time before they move to Houston. We are also super excited that Southwest Airlines now has a direct flight from Greenville to Houston, no more 3 flight + 2 hour OR 1 flight + 7 hour drive traveling to Hobbs...yeah! :)

Mimi's creation...love it!

Happy First Birthday Andrew Luke!

Thankful

We are so thankful for all of the wonderful presents we received for Christmas. They have provided much entertainment over the past few weeks. I meant to save this post for when I had pictures of her playing with all or at least most of her new toys, but I really felt like blogging tonight, so this is what I have so far....
Tea Set on her table...

New Play House...we just got it this past week while Katelyn and I were in Hobbs and since we have been home we've only let her play on it for a few minutes. It's been cold & she's been sick (which we just found out today..she has a double ear infection..yuck...it's her first and first time to be on antibiotics, so sad :(...one of those things you know will happen one day though. We are looking forward to many pictures of her climbing all over this thing...thanks Lindsay & Greg!
Bath Toys galore! And what's better than playing in the bath tub with your clothes/diaper on...she loved it! haha! She closed the curtain and told me "go, bye, bye, mommy". Then proceded to color on the walls/floor of the tub. Fun times!

Kitchen...I love that it fits perfectly in our kitchen, so she can keep busy while Momma is cooking.

Color Wonder...this is a video of the first time we played with this...she's gotten the hang of it better since then, but it's the only pic/video I have, so I included it. Thanks Aunt Cindy & Matt!

There are way more...I'll have to work on getting some pics of her other new toys! Thanks everyone!

Snow Day

Today we got a ton of snow, definitely the most we have had since we have lived here. Every year though we can expect at least one winter storm, whether it be ice or snow. This past Christmas, while we were in Texas, they got a few inches, but this time we probably got 6-7 inches or more. This afternoon & tonight the sleet started, so tomorrow the roads are supposed to be pretty bad. Looks like another fun day with the fam!

Lex spent a lot of time building this snowman for little Miss Katelyn! It was his first official snowman & I think it turned out pretty good...carrot nose to boot! :o)

He and Gino trekked down into the creek behind our house to search for "coal" to use for the snowman's eyes & mouth. Gino loved the snow, we always knew he had a thick white coat for something. Good thing we hadn't given him a haircut in awhile, he kept nice and warm. But...since we were both home all day...he ended up getting a nice cut & bath this afternoon. He may be a little cold going out tomorrow :(.
