Happy Mother's Day!!
Happy Mother's Day - to our mothers, grandmothers and friends! We owe a lot to all the Mothers around, I especially know how much work a Mom puts into a day now! We both appreciate all that was done for us growing up, especially now that we have first hand experience. We love you all very much!!!
Lex definitely made today special for me! He took on all the typical Mom duties for the day (cleaning, cooking, diaper changes, playtime, bathtime, bedtime, etc, etc.) and took it to the next level. He planned out a gourmet, restaurant quality meal for breakfast, lunch & dinner - which meant a ton of kitchen cleanup too!
Here's the menu:
Breakfast - Paula Dean's: Spinach & Bacon Quiche - A+
Dessert (not pictured) - Strawberry Shortcake - A+
Wow - we are stuffed! Thank you hubby, you are the best!
I hope everyone's Mothers Day was fabulous! Mine sure was, thanks to the best family in the world!

Look Who's...
going to be a....
She is sooo excited...as you can tell!
We have been dying to share this news with everyone, but we decided to wait until I hit the 12 week mark this time around. My doc doesn't do any ultrasounds until 12 weeks, so now that we've seen the little one & heard s/he's strong heart beat - we are in the clear (hopefully) and expected to have a new little baby around November 15th!
The heartbeat was 169 bpm - with all the rumors I've heard, that means we're leaning toward a girl....but I know that isn't always true, so I guess we'll wait to make any real guesses until 20 weeks.
Overall, s/he was pretty still during most of the ultrasound, but once they turned the sound on and the heartbeat was loud and clear s/he just started kicking and squirming like crazy. That's when they finally got this good profile shot, most of the other shots are looking at s/he's back. Any guesses on who s/he looks like?
Here's too almost being out of the first trimester and hoping to get some of that nesting energy soon! We are so excited to become a family of 4!
