Cindy & Drew's Visit

Cindy and Drew came to visit us this week and we had so much fun! Here is Cindy meeting Levi for the first time.

We were able to get out of the house and have some fun too. We went to get pictures done of the 3 cousins, went out to lunch, had a pizza party, played a lot, and went to the zoo. The weather was a bit chilly, so it wasn't crowded at all and the animals all seemed extra active, especially the monkeys - hilarious! I took a video and may upload later, but we'll see. Here are our little monkeys.

Drew is turning TWO years old on Thursday - wow, I can't believe it! We aren't going to be able to make it to his birthday party this upcoming Saturday, so we had a mini-party for him in South Carolina. He is really into trucks right now, so I made a Dirt Cake and put the only dump truck we own on top...haha! I have a feeling that will change with a new little boy in the family :) Happy Birthday Drewski, we love you!!!

It was a hit!! He's even double fisting!!

Presents...new backpack for school, a puzzle and a belly button book.

Drew LOVED Gino too, he was constantly trying to give him hugs, climb all over him, and go for rides. What a sweet boy!

We skyped with my parents a couple of times while they were here and each time the kids just got so excited they started doing laps around the coffee table...running & running!

I love this picture, even though Cindy's not looking. Cindy spiked Drew's hair for the pictures we had done, we got a TON of compliments from those around us at lunch on how cute he was!! I agree!

My kiddos...Levi looks like we just cracked him up, I love it!

I was lucky enough to get to go out two nights in a row! Once with Cindy and the next night with Lex.

Lex and I went to Stella's Southern Bistro for our date night, thanks to the Lanham's! It's by far our favorite restaurant here in the area...and we were able to go all out...here's the menu:

App: Stella Sampler - FRIED GREEN TOMATOES with Pimento Cheese Dip and Crab Dip
Salads: Spinach and Radish with blue cheese, pickled onions and FRIED GREEN TOMATOES
Entrees: (Lex) Seared Tuna; (Kristi) Crab Cakes with Rice Grits and FRIED GREEN TOMATOES
Desert: Bread Pudding with caramelized pecans and cinnamon ice cream

If you can't tell, apparently they were really promoting the FRIED GREEN TOMATOES....by the time the entrees came out, we couldn't touch another one...haha!
Thanks Lindsay and Greg for dinner and to Cindy for watching our kids! Now that Levi goes to bed by 7 we hope to be able to make date nights more often.

Party in My Crib

Good thing this boy has such a cute smile, cause this Momma needs some kind of incentive to party at 3 am :)

2 Months

Our little boy turned 2 months old on Sunday, but his well check wasn't until today, so I waited to post until we got all his stats! He is currently 13 lbs (77%) and 24" long (94%)! The doc seemed pretty impressed with his development - smiling, rolling over, lifting his head, etc. He also got 4 shots today, poor thing, and is running a slight fever this evening (100.2) and was super sleepy. He's alseep right now, so I'm hoping he sleeps okay for the rest of the night and his fever doesn't get get any worse.

Overall, he is starting to wake up a lot more during the day. He typically takes 4 official naps during the day, usually 2 - 45 minute naps and 2 - two hour naps with a few cat naps in between. I have realized that every time I tell someone or type a post about what he is doing, the next day he changes it up on me, so tomorrow he will probably not nap at all :)

In the last few days, he has started to go to bed around 7, I wake him round 10 to nurse and then he sleeps until 3 or 4 and then back up between 6 or 7 for the day. This feels a lot better than eating every 3 hours around the clock.

Here's our little Dino-mite SUPERMAN!!

Smiles Video

New Pics for the New Year!

We didn't really celebrate New Year's Eve this year, considering I am still waking up at least 2 times each night by Mr. Levi :) He's worth it though, especially because he was the first person I got to wish a Happy New Year to at 12:30 AM :)

We are excited to see what this year brings, that is for sure! We have a lot to look forward too, but at the same time, we are just trying to enjoy each day and each moment before they pass us by.

As I am sitting her typing, Levi is chilling on the couch next to me (in the pic above). He ate around 5:45 and normally likes to go take a nap within 45 minutes of eating, so I laid him down and he hung out in his bed by himself for an hour (happy and not napping), I felt bad for him so after we put Katelyn to sleep I got him out and he was ALL smiles! We may just have a night owl on our hands?!? (As I type this, his eyes are getting drooping :)....yep, he fell asleep...

This pic cracks me up...he is using every muscle in his little face to pick that big heavy head up. Good job little guy!

Katelyn played a little dress up this afternoon with her new tutu from Aunt Lindsay! She looks like a cheerleader with her hair and all!! Love this girl!

With all the kids new toys from Christmas, I decided to re-create the playroom (although it still acts as an office/guest bedroom as well - sorry for any future guests who may get woken up by sporadic toys turning on (that has happened before..sorry Cindy). Our living room was starting to drive me crazy with all the toys, now at least it's just consumed with the new Christmas toys. Next on the to-do list is to re-paint the red sign...good thing Levi can't read yet (let alone really play yet)!
