Seabrook Island Vacation

We just got home from a family vacation to Seabrook Island, SC. We met up with Lex's parents and had a great time! It was beautiful and the weather was perfect, mid 70's to low 80's, couldn't ask for a better trip.  Here are a few pictures to remember it by....

The Beach Club...our home away from home (we wish)!

Levi loved playing in the sand, he actually played for quite awhile before deciding to try a taste.

Katelyn enjoyed the sand more this trip than ever before. She built sand castles and even let Lex bury her.

Lots of pool time! They had 2 pools to enjoy, one of which was right on the ocean. Can't get much better than that!

Levi took many naps on my chest while we were out and about. I don't get the opportunity to let him nap like this at home and I took full advantage!!

Lex did take Katelyn fishing once. She's really into a show called the Dinosaur Train, where the dinosaurs go fishing for their food, so she asked many times a day for Lex to take her fishing. I can just picture her doing this same pose at 16 :)

Sandra and I (mainly Sandra) made the Father's a nice dinner on Sunday....fresh flounder, wedge salads, corn on the cob, bread, and fresh butter beans. We are very happy to have such great Father's in our lives (including my Dad)!

We headed into Charleston one day and took a horse (mule) and carriage ride. It was a prefect way to see the town with two little ones. Here they are enjoying the donkey's while waiting for our carriage.

We tried to get some good pics with the kids new matching outfits, but didn't quite get any that I love....the sun was a little bright and Katelyn isn't too interested in posing like she used to be :)

Lex and I were able to go out one night by ourselves, which was so nice. We hit up the beach club to enjoy the sunset with a few adult beverages. We could have been in Mexico at an all inclusive...so nice! I wish you could see the view behind us, it was amazing!

Our last night we went to dinner at the marina for some good seafood and after we hung out on the lawn and let Katelyn dance and participate in her first limbo competition...haha!

  1.

Levi was a trooper on this trip. I'm so happy to have this sweet, cuddly little guy as a part of our family. He has taken to his blanket like Katelyn loves her's, what a sweetie pie!

The house we stayed in was amazing! Definitely professionally decorated like something you would see in a magazine! We felt a little like we were living in the OC, for those of you that remember that show :)

First Teeth

Levi has his 2 bottom teeth and they are coming in quick. I took these pictures about a week ago and now they have both come up about an 1/8th of an inch. No more gummy smiles for this boy! And no more chewing on Mommy's fingers :) If you can, zoom in to see them good.

Sister showing me the cucumber she and Daddy grew in the garden. Yum.

Baby Blues! And that tongue, it's become his new "thing". Too cute!

7 Months

Well, Levi is already another month older! This month has flown by and I have a feeling these next few months will too. We've got a lot of fun stuff planned which is always great, but it makes time go by way too fast. Our little man is so fun! He cut his first tooth this past week and  it's a sharp one. The one right next to it isn't far behind either. He's laughing a lot, pulling up on our hands, loves his big sister, sticking out his tongue on command, waving (with his whole arm), trying really hard to scoot forward on his belly, flopping his little legs behind him like a frog when he's trying to scoot, and has the best little expressions ever!  Here are a few recent pictures......up on all fours (we helped :)

Trying so hard...

Our cutie pie!!!
