Levi has really taken off on his talking lately. He finally can say his own name, "Wevi", that is! He is saying up to 4 word sentences now, singing parts of songs, counting to 10, singing some of his ABC's, etc. I love his little voice...here he is playing the "throw me in the air if I say the right word" game! This is how Lex got him to finally try and say his own name!
Monkey Joe's....he loves this place. They both do!! Lex took the kids there on Saturday and left Levi's bag by accident, so we went back yesterday to pick it up. As soon as we turned into the parking lot, before we could even see Monkey Joe's, he started getting excited yelling Monkey Joe's!
We play a lot of hide and seek around here. So with all that counting, Levi has learned to count to 10!
I sat down tonight planning to upload lots of videos to share, but I am realizing how few videos I have taken lately. There are others, but these are the only worth sharing. I'll try to get better about taking videos in the near future!

First Day of K4

Today Katelyn started her last year of Preschool before Kindergarten! I plan to cherish this year as much as possible! She's going 3 mornings a week to a local church preschool. It is a different school than last year so she doesn't know anyone in her class, but luckily she is a trooper and jumped right in.
She did say that they didn't get to play outside today because it was wet, so they went to the gym and one of the boys in her class wouldn't share the scooter with her, so she didn't have a very good day. But, as I continued to ask questions, she seemed very positive about her teachers and other friends she had met. Hoping she has lots of fun this year!

Birthday Fun with Grammy & Pappy
Grammy & Pappy came out to visit this week and we had a blast. We celebrated Katelyn's birthday again and Sandra's birthday (August 7th). We had a Fro Yo birthday party, played a lot, opened presents, went to Monkey Joe's, out to eat, etc. The kids had a great time and really miss them already.

Birthday Fun!
Happy 4th Birthday, Katelyn Rae and _ _ th Birthday, Mimi! :) We were lucky this year to be able to celebrate both their birthdays together! What a special and unexpected treat! We are so thankful they made the last minute decision to come visit. We all love them so much!
We started the day with Mickey Mouse pancakes!

Then came home to open presents! First, the big black present on the coffee table (.ie. a dollhouse covered with a big trash bag) - she loves it!!
Best and only picture we got of Mimi and Pops with two of their grandkids! We can't wait to see them again in October!
We also went to ride the kiddie train at Heritage Park, played at two different parks, had a picnic, went swimming and out to eat a few times! We had a great time celebrating both their birthdays and just visiting!

The BEST Day Ever - 4th Birthday Party
This past Saturday, we had a combination birthday party for Katelyn and her friend, Ana! They turned 4 within a week of each other, so her mother, Jasmin, and I decided we should throw a joint party! We had a great time planning and coordinating all the details and probably went a little more over the top since we had both of us contributing! It turned out so cute and the girls and all their friends seemed to really have a blast.

We also had plenty of water play...slip-n-slide, swimming pools, and the water table to help keep the cool! And it provided a great place to wash all the paint off!

Pizza Time
The birthday girls with Flynn Rider, the pinata! They used a frying pan to try and knock him down, just like Rapunzel does in the movie! Jasmin did a great job making him and even gave him a big nose like they joke about in the movie.
Cake Time - by this time Katelyn actually said she didn't want cake - I'm thinking we had a little too much food - what's a party without too much food though!!
