Destin, FL Vacation

We drove down to Destin, FL for the first time earlier this month and met Grammy & Pappy there for a nice vacation. We had never been so we enjoyed a change of scenery from the South Carolina beaches, although they are nice too. The sand and water here were amazing, so white and clear, beautiful!

One day we went to The Gulfarium, which is a cross between Sea World and an Aquarium although much smaller than Sea World. We all seemed to really enjoy it.

We stayed in a condo resort, so we had access to an awesome pool and the beach...right out our balcony, it was perfect!

We were also able to spend the day with some Poth Cousin's, Julianne and Oliver and their son Paul's family. They have a house on the water with a pool in the back and a dock with a fishing boat - Lex's dream house! The kids had a great time playing with their cousin, Charlotte, who is 6. 

We were also able to celebrate Lex's birthday there at the beach, so we hit up Bubba Gump's Shrimp Company for an excellent dinner and then home to the condo for a homemade cake made by the kids and I, decorated by Miss Katelyn! 

Don't be mistaken by the candles, Lex is no longer 23 :)

Labor Day Weekend

We had lots of fun this weekend...

Simpsonville Downtown Harvest Moon Festival...snow cones, princesses, bounce houses, car making, petting zoo....can't beat all that!

We also went Apple Picking with a couple of our neighbor friends at Nivens Apple Farm. 

And to end the weekend off just right...ugh...Levi knocked one of his front teeth on the toilet after his bath Monday night. It's probably knocked back about 1/8th an inch and the dentist said to just watch it and if it turns gray bring him in. Poor kid, I feel so bad for him. His teeth were really straight for baby teeth, not so much anymore. This picture was taking at dinner tonight and I think it's already slightly changing colors. ***FYI. He is happy here, just showing me his teeth :)
