Kyler is 5 Months

Well Kyler is 5 months old today! He is really waking up (literally) and mentally! He is now sleeping all the way through the night, 12ish hours, taking longer naps (sometimes), and staying awake for much longer stretches of time! I am loving this stage of babyhood! And today he even sat in a tri-pod for at least a minute or two all by himself. He is so strong. Rolling to his belly constantly, but gets caught on his belly forgetting how to get back over to his back. He is all smiles, unless someone unfamiliar holds him. Unfortunately, that includes Daddy lately. He loves Daddy from across the room or right after he's had a good meal, but when he's sleepy or hungry only Mommy will do.

Here's our little baby in all his cuteness!!!

He has fallen asleep a few times in his highchair.  He hasn't started food yet, but he sits here when we eat sometimes and apparently it's pretty comfy!

Helping Mommy make Daddy's birthday cake!

Ay Matey! Our little pirate...I guess ;/

He loves to stick his tongue out. He has completely rejected the paci and hasn't had one in weeks. So he has begun sucking on his tongue and thumb some. We'll see which one sticks! Since he now is swaddle free, I'm thinking he'll end up sucking his thumb. Time will tell.

Selfie shoot :)

My boys!

Drew                                                                     Levi

And now Kyler...wearing the same outfit. Not sure where the hat is now, wish I had found it. We are so thankful for all the adorable clothes that Drew passed down to Levi and Kyler.  Now they can take matching pictures! As you can see, Kyler  seems to be the chunkiest of the 3 :) Love me some rolls!

I have really been enjoying the extra time I've had with Levi now that Katelyn is in Kindergarten. He is such a sweet, funny, imaginative, fun little man. He is no longer going to MDO, he just wasn't quite ready for such a long day (9-2) and I wasn't willing to force him this year since he's got 3 more years till Kindergarten. We've joined Gymboree instead, MOPS, and a new playgroup. We'll revisit pre-school next year. For now, I am enjoying all these moments!

And of course all the fun with this little man!

And we love waiting for this little girl to get home every afternoon and hear about how great her day was!

My Birthday

Yesterday was my 34th Birthday. And I usually don't do posts about my birthday, but this year was extra good. The kids are all so fun right now, Lex got me some things I had been wanting for awhile, and my parents came in town and took us to the Rainforest Cafe on the Riverwalk for dinner. I really couldn't ask for much more! So thankful for everyone who remembered me on my birthday! 34 seems like a good year before you hit the upper 30's!

Poindexter Girls Retreat

This past weekend us girls plus Kyler went to our families ladies retreat in Sonora, TX (which is only 2.5 hours from here). It was the 14th annual weekend retreat, of which, I had only been to it one other year, due to college and living in SC. I am so happy to be living close enough to attend again in the future! We had a great time just talking, eating, making, scapbooking, playing bingo, getting massages, doing a spa gift exchange, and the kids even swam in the fluke 50 degree weather!

What a fun weekend! Looking forward to next year already!

Siblings

Today I took Kyler to his 4 month well check. So far, he's the biggest baby we've had. He weighed in at 17 lbs. 4 oz (83%), 26" (78%), 44 cm head (90%)...Levi was around 15 lbs and Katelyn 14 lbs. around 4 months. Here are some comparison pictures of each of them around 4 months (I think Levi is actually 3 months though).  I need a better picture of Kyler smiling, but this is the one I happen to have for now. I bet there are even more similarities between him and Katelyn when he's smiling too.

All 3 sleeping babies around 4 months of age. Some of my favorite memories....snuggling with my babies.

A fun photo shoot with all 3!

A little art time with the big kids. Painting and making tracks with his cars. He LOVED this!

Katelyn recreated an art project she did at school using the book, "Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus".
