C-town

After Holly Lake, we headed to Carrollton to spend some more time with my parents. Lex spent the night, then headed back home to work.

Kyler sound asleep, snuggling Daddy.

A little playtime in the backyard.

Our favorite park....

And our favorite splash pad...

We also went to the Perot Museum for the first time...it was amazing!

Kyler found the food, put it in the skillet (over the fire), stirred it around, pulled it out, put it in a bowl, and then took it to the picnic table (before he saw anyone else do it, all on his own). He is already using his little imagination and pretend cooking (and eating...smack smack)! Love to watch them learn how to use their imaginations.

I personally enjoyed the Dinosaur exhibit the most!

Pops bringing out his inner kid!

This was such a neat idea. As they dropped gravel down the holes it made music.

We also rode the DART train one morning just for fun!

Levi preparing himself for the loud horn (although it turned out to be quite quiet).

Holly Lake

On the road again...we went to Holly Lake with my parents for the July 4th weekend and had so much fun. We have always heard about how much fun they have over the 4th there so we were excited to finally get to partake.

Kyler did so good on the trip...here he is with his very favorite book. This sweet girl in the picture always makes him smile!

A little old fashioned Merry Go Round with Pops

Choo Choo!!

Waffle Breakfast at the Fire Station

Golf Cart Parade....Katelyn loved helping Mimi and Pops decorate their golf cart!

Hot Dog lunch after the parade.

And Putt-putt too!

My sweet sweaty baby trying to keep himself entertained while us big kids played putt-putt.

Dancing!!!

Happy 4th of July!! Complete with Apple Pie!

And Tinker Toys!

They had a fireworks show to end the night over the lake. Levi kept his fingers in his ears from the moment we got their (about 30 minutes before the show started) until it was over. He loved it, but did not like the idea of them being loud.

Lex's father's day gift came in handy....a huge blow up lobster!

 Mimi and Kyler time!

Katelyn was able to go play Bingo with Mimi and Pops by herself and she really enjoyed that extra special attention!

Deer are all around, munching in people's front yards. This one we spotted behind their blue cabin.

We had a great time and hope to go back again soon!

DoSeum

San Antonio just opened their new Children's Museum, the DoSeum! We checked it out a few weeks ago with Grammy and loved it!
