Kids being Kids

Our sweet friends, The Logozzo's are moving to Michigan this week. They were our first friends here in San Antonio and we are so sad to see them go! We'll miss you all!

Hill climbing is hard work!

1 scarf = head wrap and dress = fashionista!

Yarn maze

duck lips....he always does this when he's concentrating...so cute! And here are a few more fun faces from our littlest character...

We've had a tough time with Levi coming out of his room at bedtime, so Lex told him if he didn't whine and stayed in his bed Tuesday night, he would take him to Bass Pro the next day. And Wow, it was the easiest bedtime we've had in awhile! This boys loves ATV's, gear shifts, boats, cars, etc.....I have a feeling we'll be touring Bass Pro a lot, but hopefully lots of easy bedtimes too!

And Kyler got to tag along and loved the fish!

First Day of 1st Grade

Katelyn started 1st grade this week! She was a little nervous starting and didn't want me to leave, even a few tears were shed, but she was brave and ended up having an "awesome" day! Her favorite part was "meeting some new friends." I love that she makes friends so quickly!

Levi has had a great week too! He keeps saying how much fun he is having!! I think it's mostly due to the fact that he gets to make all the decisions around the house, no compromising with his sister....example...Me: "Let's play outside!" Levi: "Ok, can we play in the front today?" Me: "Yes"....no sister saying...No, let's play in the backyard!! haha! She is always wanting the opposite of whatever he wants, needless to say...he is having a great, fun week. BUT LOVES to play with sissie when she gets home!

Kateln's new teacher! We've heard a lot of wonderful things about her! She is going to have a great year!

Snow cone treat the night before school started.

And she's home!!! And running to get hugs with a big smile!!

Katelyn is SIX

Wednesday Katelyn turned 6 years old! She is such a sweetie pie and really matured a lot over the summer, it seems. She is 90% for height and 60% for weight. Strong, healthy, and energetic. She loves everything about her American Girl doll, playing with her princesses, doggies, climbing, doing obstacle courses, reading so well, playing with her brothers, and her family. We are so blessed to have her in our family and look forward to another year of exciting adventures!

She requested pancakes with icing and candles just like last year!

Kit goes everyone....even while she's climbing trees!

Swimming the morning of her birthday!

She got a rainbow loom bracelet maker and used made all 20 bracelets it came with during the first 24 hours she had it! She gave most of them away to her friends and family. She worked so hard and kept saying how much fun it was!

The evening of her birthday she had Girl Scouts, so we made cupcakes to take.

On Saturday we had a small birthday party for her at our neighborhood pool.

We were so thankful that Aunt Lindsay, Grammy, Pappy, Mimi and Pops were able to come along with a few of her friends from school, the neighborhood and preschool.

Our little birthday mermaid!

After the party we headed back to our house to celebrate Grammy's birthday too. Her birthday was on the 7th, just a day earlier. These kiddos sure love their Grammy!

Kyler giving Aunt Lindsay some love!

Mimi snuggles!

Matching Jammies!! Thank you Grammy and Pappy, she loves them!

Her first real Lego set....we've held off on "big kid" Legos since Kyler was still putting things in his mouth. Now that he's over that phase, Katelyn loved putting this set together from her friend, Claire. She did it all by herself and played so quietly for an hour and a half! Love it!!

We love you, sweet girl!!!

American Girl / Houston Trip

We headed to Houston this past Wednesday to spend a few days with my sister's family and my parents. Once school starts it will be harder to make it out there just for a weekend, so we went a few extra days just to hang out.

Katelyn has been wanting an American Girl doll since my Dad gave her a catalog to look at over the 4th of July. So we thought it would be fun to surprise her with a trip to the store to pick one out herself. We left Cindy and Matt's house Saturday morning with the kids thinking we were heading back to San Antonio, so we said our goodbyes and left. We drove to the airport to pick up Lex (surprise), then to the mall just to "play a little before we got on the road". Well, as we were walking she spotted the store and then spotted Cindy, Drew, Mimi and Pops waiting their to surprise her too!  She was giddy!!

One happy girl! And Kit has not left her side since!

We had lunch at the bistro, but our reservation wasn't until 1:30 (which is normally naptime around here). Needless to say this one was quite cranky...so the waitress brought him a doll and put it next to him. He quited down quickly and gave him kisses. But it didn't last long and Lex and I had take turns walking him around to keep him happy.

Blondies with freckles!

So glad Cindy and Drew got to come with us too. We had so much fun with them!

All the boys loving Aunt Cindy!

Mimi and Pops!

The whole crew!

Mimi, Katelyn & Kit

Here are a few pictures of earlier in the week. Kyler was hamming it up with Aunt Cindy after a yummy brownie!

On Thursday morning we were able to meet up with Channing for brunch. She is working for Pine Cove and traveling all around this summer. We were happy it worked out to see her!

Kyler loves his Aunt Cindy!

Sweet Drew napping with Cindy and Pops.

Just a swinging!

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you....Another Birthday celebration at Red Robin.

And then cake and ice cream and presents back at The Fleharty's.

She's a MERMAID!! Mimi made Katelyn a mermaid tale for her birthday. She had asked for it around the 4th of July and had forgotten, so it was a big surprise and a dream come true!

Happy Birthday to Mimi and Katelyn!!
