Rock N Roll (half) Marathon

Lex ran and completed his first Half Marathon in early December. He trained with a group called World Vision through our church. He ran on his own during the week and then every Saturday they would meet for group runs to train. He really enjoyed meeting meeting others at church and running for a good cause. He's already planning for next years run!

Depite the 13.1 miles, it was a very rainy and cold morning, but that didn't hold him or his cheering squad back :)

Inspired by her Daddy's running, Katelyn won a medal for the most laps in her class at her schools Walk-a-thon....she ran 41 laps! After winning this, she decided she wanted to run a race too, so we signed her up for the Kids Rock N Roll, but it was rained out. It was just a mile, so she would have whipped that race, no problem. Lex took her out running one day and she ran 3 miles without stopping.

Decking the Halls

We actually decorated a few days before Thanksgiving this year for the first time since we were not hosting. It's always more fun to get started early with little kids.

Under the tree with his Night Night.....sweet boy!

Lindsay was in town when we got started so she was able to help (and dance) too :)

It's a tradition to have eggnog while we are decorating....definitely a favorite!

We also hit up Dickens On Main, which is a festival in Boerne, it was super cute but way to crowded for us. Boerne is not quite the small town it used to be, but still less crowded than any festival in San Antonio :)

I love this picture, it feels like something from the movies, classic!

Hot Coco was supposed to be a fun treat, but when it's hot that means they have to be patient and wait for it to cool down = whinny kids :/ BUT they smiled for the picture :)

We found some "snow" as the night was coming to an end. You can't see it in the picture, but it was a little flurry of snow coming from a machine off the balcony above.

And of course as the season began, Elfie Tada showed back up. He brought PJs that he made for the kids.....they wore them every chance they could over the holidays!!

Levi's Preschool Thanksgiving Feast

Love the Preschool at our church, how genius is this idea!! These kiddos look so cute and have a blast dressing up and eating a feast! Levi was so sweet sharing his plate of food with Kyler too (which is not always a normal thing around here).

Girl Scouts

Katelyn took a break from Girl Scouts while she was in Kids Praise since they fell on the same night of the week. But in November she got to join right back up, just in time for a Night Tour of the Zoo and their bridging ceremony to Brownies!

From Daisies to Brownies.....super cute ceremony and Katelyn even had to speak on stage for the first time and did great!

DIY Family Photos

Not knowing much of anything yet, I tried to take our family photos this year while in Kingsland. They turned out okay, but not great. Getting everyone in place and smiling at the camera, makes for a really hard DIY Family Photo. The individuals turned out super cute though.
