Happy 7th Birthday Katelyn!

Katelyn's 7th Birthday was a huge success! She woke up to presents, a special breakfast, a day full of fun, and then ended the day with a party with her favorite friends!

I have seen several "You Are My Sunshine" prints in stores lately and so I decided to make my own on a canvas for Katelyn's birthday. I think it turned out pretty good! It looks better on her wall though. She'll always be my "Little Rae of Sunshine."

One of her favorite gifts was a Lego Treehouse set....

This is a snapchat picture, she looks so old here!

Her party was a sleepover theme, but they didn't actually sleepover. They all wore their jammies, decorated pillow cases to take home, played charades, freeze dance, ate pizza and a donut "cake".....I think they enjoyed just playing more than anything though. She had a blast!

The number one thing she wanted on her birthday list was an Easy Bake Oven. I remember having one when I was a kid and loved it, so when I saw one marked 70% off, I had to get it. She made Thin Mints the other night and they were really good!

Happy Birthday, Grammy!!

On Sunday we celebrated Grammy's Birthday at Pappadeaux's and then came back to our house to open presents for Katelyn too. We had a great time and hope she had a fabulous birthday too!!

Aquatots

Levi has been taking swim lessons at Aquatots for about 6 weeks and has learned so much. When he started he barely would stick his head in the water, now he can swim underwater short distances, float on his stomach and back, dive under to retrieve rings, etc. And he loves swimming so much more now too!

First Dentist Visit

Kyler had his first dental visit in July and did fantastic! He watched the big kids first and then sat in the chair let them clean his teeth, no problem! We love the kids dentist, they actually look forward to going and I get free coffee :)

Soaking Up Some Sun

We've been having a fun month, soaking up lots of sun!

Lex found us a great river hang out spot a few weekends ago. It was beautiful and not crowded at all, which was our hope! We can't wait to go back!

The kids and I finally went to check out Morgan's Wonderland a few weeks ago as well with my MOPS group. They loved it and keep asking when we'll go back!  They had a kiddie train, ferris wheel, fishing warf, playgrounds galore, puppet shows, jeep off roading cars, carousel, etc.

And the whole place was laid out like a little town with kid size shops and streets....they loved that! Inside this building is a small childrens museum with a grocery store, auto body shop, shadow play, and a weather station with green screens...so fun!

Weatherman Levi

I started running....well for a good solid week I woke up early to run....hopefully I'll get back into it soon :) I have a few 5K's I'm planning to do this fall and Lex is running a Half Marathon...so I need to get on it...haha! Anyways, these kiddos woke up early one morning, got dressed and joined me for my last lap around the block, they were so excited!

I can't believe we only have one more week of summer!! We are going to be swimming a lot this week!

Cooling off in the A/C...

As much as we love to soak up the sun, we also spend a lot of time cooling off in the A/C! It was 104 yesterday!

A recent stroller creation by Little Miss Inventor, Katelyn!

We are encouraging Levi to have quiet time instead of naps (since he'll be 5 in a few months and all)....this day he did quiet time, but fell asleep on the couch later that night watching TV.  He loves his daytime sleep!

Levi's loves Lindsay's dog, Maisie!!

And Katelyn loves Stringer and Bodie....and I love they can get their doggie fix without us needing one ourselves :)

First black eye, boo! The kids were playing in the baby pool in the backyard and having a water fight with plastic cups, well Katelyn was coming up with her cup and Levi was bending over and boom....right in the eye! Poor guy!

Grammy snuggles are the best!

I gave Kyler this bucket of markers and a piece of paper to color while I cooked dinner, not realizing there was a pair of kiddie scissors in the bucket.....3rd child...give them scissors at 2 years old to entertain themselves...ooops! ***He did not cut himself**

Olympic swimming love!

Sweet boy!

He couldn't quiet make it through quiet time this day, he fell asleep in his chair while playing.

And Kyler is definitely my child....he is licking the parmesan off his plate after dinner.

Fun times!
