Kyler is FOUR

We celebrated Kyler's 4th Birthday at Cool Crest Miniature Golf the day before his actual birthday. We had won a party package at a silent auction almost 2 years ago and since Kyler loves playing putt putt, we went for it. I wasn't sure how 4 year olds would do playing here for a party, but it ended up being a perfect place for a party. It wasn't super busy when we first got there, so the kids pretty much just skipped from one hole to the other. They had a blast! The weather was perfect too!

The next day he woke up to a fireplace full of presents from us, but also from Mimi & Pops, Katelyn & Levi. We have started packing so Katelyn picked a few things from her room she had outgrown to pass down to Kyler - a Little Live Pet bird with a cage, an I Spy Book and a few other things. Levi picked a few things out from the dollar store - an army truck, silly putty, and fake watch/walkie talkie! They loved giving him presents too. We got him a Bob Cat (like the one that worked on our Poth House) and lots of other little things he wanted. And Mimi and Pops got him a big Spider Man Liar, which he has played with non-stop since his Bday! Pops also made him waffles for his bday breakfast, which is always a favorite!

Happy Birthday to our sweet, smart boy! You'll forever be our baby! We love you more then you'll ever know!

Poth House Update

In the last two weeks the house is finally making some movement in the right direction! It's so fun to see how my vision is coming to real life. I drew up the design just on a piece of printer paper (to scale courtesy of Lex) and our contractor basically made a copy and gave it to the framers to work off of. We've always dreamed of this, but to see it come to life is pretty amazing!

These first two pictures are more of before type pictures, sheet rock is down but no changes have been made yet.

And here they have vaulted the ceiling up to the roof line and famed out the new windows and front door. The far wall will be framed out for a fireplace next week!

This will be the kitchen and a open hallway to the game room (currently still the garage).

This is looking from the garage (future game room) toward the kitchen/hallway and to the left will be the hallways to the kids rooms/baths. This is all new framing done this week!!

Next week they are hoping to have all the interior framing done, install the windows, frame out the fireplace and start pouring the concrete for the front and back porches!

Kindergarten Field Trip

I got to tag along on Levi's Kinder field trip! He is such a big kid these days. Hanging out with his friends, so confident and sweet! They went to the Rainbow Gardens and had a scavenger hunt around learning about different kinds of plants. Then we headed to the nearby park for lunch and playtime. Great memories!

April Fun

Bedtime Shenanigans with Daddy!

Lindsay gave Katelyn a gift card to Extreme Escape for Christmas, so we all got to go with her. And we ESCAPED! We were paired with another family who had three girls with them, we worked pretty well together and escaped with plenty of time left. It was a pirate themed room, which the kiddos loved!

Our little pilots flying at the Doseum!

I've begun decluttering our house to get it ready to sell, so I packed up the kids art work we've had hanging on the playroom wall. We kept our favorite pieces and then I had the kids lay down and take a picture with a few of their other pieces to remember them too!

Katelyn's dentist recommended that we see an orthodontist to start planning for braces! They recommended to pull three of her baby teeth so that her permanent teeth have room to come in. Little did we know those baby teeth were sooooo big! Look at the roots on those things! She was a trooper, it hurt way more than we imagined, but luckily the tooth fairy was generous and rewarded her for the pain she had to experience.

The SAME day Katelyn had her teeth pulled Levi lost his first REAL baby tooth. I mean, he did lose his top tooth when he was 4, but that one had some trama to it has a baby, so I'm not counting it :) It had been loose for several days and starting to annoy him, so he ate a pear and boom, out it came! Losing teeth is so exciting!

Beard had King Antonio and Ray Feo come celebrate FIESTA during school. So fun!

Kyler surprised me one day by "reading" me a whole book. We were talking about how well Levi is reading these days and Kyler said, I can ready too. And picked up a Fly Guy book we've read quite a bit lately and preceded to 'read' it to me! He had it almost completely memorized word for word!

Kyler graduated up to the 4 year old class at Bibleland Sunday School. His 3 year old teachers were sooo sad to say good bye. When I told them it was his last week, they said, "Well, we just might need to turn 4 too!" They seriously might follow him to the 4 year old class. They are the sweetest and love on him so much!

The boys re-created the Poth House out of Lego Duplos!!

Kyler flossing without being asked! :)

Fun preschool times!! They learned about babies this week and had a crawling race...LOL!

Science time....they made rockets out of film canisters and alka-selzer tablets!

Making "craters" as they learned about the moon and space with his friends Henry and Louis!

Levi and Katelyn had their last piano recital with Ms. Victoria this past weekend. They have a few more lessons left before we take a break and have to find a new teacher near Poth. I can't say either of them love piano, but it has been so good for them. Levi's memory especially has improved! Levi played 'Horn Call' and Katelyn played 'Minuet' in this last recital and they both did great!

Shopping with Ky-Bear....here he's asking me to buy this turtle dump truck for his birthday. He said, I won't look and you can surprise me with it later :)

X-rays of Miss Climber!! Luckily no broken bones this time!! Just a sprain and a brace for a few weeks!
