Poth House Progress

We've come a long way over the past month! Sheet rock is in, mudding is done, fireplace is being built out, cabinets are complete, tile is purchased.....so this upcoming week they have the wood floors going in, cabinets being installed, fireplace/brick porch starting, and next week tile will be installed! The exterior is looking good, siding is on, but trim work is still left, painting, cedar colums/staining is all still left to be done. He's told us he's expecting it'll be done by early October!! So exciting!

Here's what it looked like not too long ago, just for reference!

Bye Bye Tall Heights

We said goodbye to our Tall Heights house yesterday! We love all the memories we made here and were sad to say goodbye. Yet, we are so incredibly excited for the adventure ahead! The same day we closed we found out that Levi is in the same class with one of his Poth Cousins, Harper, and that Katelyn got a teacher known as "the best"! Being the new kids in town and already having a few connections and insider tips, makes this momma so happy! I've already been recruited for the PTO as well! We know 100% God is leading us to a new and better lifestyle for our family. We kissed the walls and took Katelyn took a 10 minute video going around the house reminiscing, but in general we are so thankful for a smooth closing and wish the next family the best in our house! ;)

Happy Birthday to Katelyn!

She had a sleepover birthday party at our house in San Antonio (3 days before we closed on the house), so it was a big empty house with lots of room for a big fort, flashlight hide and seek, t-shirt decorating, bracelet making, movie watching and lots of late night girl giggles. They had a blast and I think it'll be a birthday she'll never forget. She has made some sweet friends and I hope she is able to stay in touch with them now that we are in Poth.

We celebrated again on the morning of her birthday with presents, pancakes, and a trip to see Pappy!  She got lots of doll accessories, a stroller for her babies, and her favorite was a pair of rollerblades. She's barely taken them off the past few days!

You have matured so much lately, yet still play like a little kid, it's the perfect age! This is one of my favorite times watching you grow....you are so curious, passionate, and loving. You play so well with your brothers and are learning how to navigate the art of negotiation (LOL) without too much drama and tears! Your brothers look up to you in so many ways and you are becoming a fantastic example for them. We are so proud of you baby girl and look forward to watching you grow up in Poth! Love you sweet girl!

PBX Reunion

At the end of July, I was able to meet up with some of my college friends from PBX! We met up in Portland, OR and had a great time catching up, eating a lot, tasting wine, and relaxing! It was so great! We missed several girls that weren't able to come, but we plan to do this way more often!

Magnolia Table

For Mother's Day we took a belated trip to Magnolia Table in Waco mid July! It was such a nice (hot) day to spend with my Momma and sister! The food was amazing, atmosphere was great, and loved the store! I couldn't let myself buy anything though, except a T-shirt, which is super soft!
