"The Poth House" Before & Afters

I've started compiling the pictures from before we started construction on this house, but they need some tweaking....

Here's a decent before picture, but since we haven't done any landscaping to the house yet, I haven't taken a good "after picture" other than of the front porch. So I'll do a better one once we get some landscaping done.

The Den converted to the Boys bedroom

The Dining area (the wall between the kitchen and dining was removed) so the after is both Dining and Kitchen.

The garage is now our family room.
The 2nd bathroom and utility space are now our Half Bath and Laundry room (that are located off the hall betwen the kitchen and family room)

The back bedroom didn't change much....it's now Katelyn's room, but we added an attached bathroom.

The Kitchen space towards the garage, now leads into the family room.

Kitchen before and after

Living room

Master Bathroom (I need to take some better pictures of it, it's hard to get it at a good angle to compare the before and after. the layout is basically the same, we just added another closet and you enter the bathroom from a different side.)

Master Bedroom...hardwood is orignal, just changed the windows and popped up the ceiling.

The middle bedroom was converted into two bathrooms (one for the boys and one for Katelyn)

This is a good start for you....I'll work on some better "before and afters" but I wanted to get these on here before I printed our 2018 memory book! It was such a fun process. Although the house looks a lot different, the land surrounding the house, the drive way, and the memories will always remain. We just hope that we can have the same impact that Alfreda had on the people she invited into her home. She was such an inspriration for a lot of people.

End of 2018

We spent the last several days of 2018 hanging out with our favs...fishing at the ranch and celebrating Pappy's Birthday! Then off to Carrollton to hang out with Mimi & Pops. It was a perfect way to end the year!

We headed up to DFW to celebrate Christmas with our Kilgore fam as well! Sandi & Norman hosted, it was so nice to see everyone, although we missed quite a few this year! The whole crew....

The Kilgore Siblings

First Cousins

Next generation cousins

Then the next few days included lots of playtime with Mimi on the floor. Their favorite thing to play is still "trash truck" at Mimi & Pops'. Yet, we have two trash trucks at our house they hardly ever play with. LOL

We visited our favorite park.

Looked at Christmas Lights (this same house has decorated this well every year since I was in High School...this is their garage transformed into Santa's workshop)

Popped a few poppers on New Years Eve.

Went to see the new Mary Poppin's

And played at the Ninja Warrior playpark in Farmers Branch.

This year was definitely a year of change...moving to a new town and a new school, making new friends and creating a new routine for all of us. It's been too busy in my opinion. I am so glad to be settling in to our new life and looking forward to lots of family time in 2019.

Christmas Day

Santa Came!!

Kyler got...a new balance bike, a stellosphere (Miles from Tomorrowland toy), a basketball, a space station tent with planetarium stars, a giant gummy santa (he had asked for a giant gummy bear from stanta), a "robot" toothbrush, and a whole lot of little things.

Katelyn got...a gummy sushi set, a bean bag chair, Lego Friends Heartlake City Resort, a giant lollipop, Our Generation School, new clothes, basketball shoes, and a whole bunch more.

Levi got....a rollercoaster Lego set, a bean bag chair, basketball shoes, a personalized UHAUL truck, a "robot" toothbrush, a trumpet (that he asked for), and a whole bunch more I can't think of at the moment.

I'd say that Santa thought they were pretty good this year!

Later in the morning Pappy & Lindsay came by to celebrate with us too! We opened more presents, spent lots of time putting together presents (i.e. LEGOs, foosball table, rollercoaster sets, etc.), ate some chili and had a nice relaxing day with our family!

And yes, this was all done ON Christmas day....lots of building happening over here!
