September Randomness

Our debonaire stud trying on his tux for Matthew & Kathryn's upcoming wedding! We ordered him one off of Amazon, it had great reviews and I am pretty impressed. It's great quality and looks super fancy for their black tie wedding. Kyler can't wait to play dress up with it after the wedding! Sweet boy!

Lex updated the chicken's space, they now have their own yard they get to play in everyday! And we got our first egg about a week ago - we're up to 7 now! This morning we made a large omelet for breakfast and shared it to celebrate our first egg harvest!!

Here's Beeker now....he's so pretty!

I don't remember all their names, the the kids do!

Grandparents breakfast at school....the PTO volunteers were the servers!

Skateboarding nights are the best! He's getting really good at making those curves around the driveway! Definitely not something I have ever been able to do!

Kyler made this board game one Saturday, it was so well thought out. We played several times and he kept asking other people to play because I always beat him! LOL! I love his mind, he is always thinking and creating!

There is a new Poth cousin in town....meet Jacob Poth - he is Clayton & Jimmie's new baby. All the girls were taking turns holding him the other night at Pam's. Love that our kiddos get to be around cousins, although I miss my Kilgore cousins and hope we can see them soon too!

This year I decided to make Katelyn's mum. We ordered her a small one in 6th grade and she used it again for 7th grade, but she needed a larger one, now that she's grown. I headed to San Antonio last week to find supplies and ended up meeting a lady that takes orders for mums, even as far south as Falls City. She led me to a great ribbons supply company - Travis Wholesale Florist - where I got a ton of great ribbon.

Yesterday, I opened up YouTube to see how to make a mum, I watched several videos and made the whole thing yesterday morning! Cindy created the monogram file for me and I cut it out using my cricut. I surprised myself and think it turned out great! The best part is that Katelyn got home from school and raved about it, the kids think I should start a mum business now! They are so sweet :)

Levi Lately

Levi has been playing flag football this year and really enjoys it! It's a Poth team of 5th & 6th grade boys and they play all their games against Falls City. I am hoping to get some better pictures in the coming weeks. They've only had two games so far and we've had to split up some due to cross country and now, soccer will be starting this week! It's a busy time, but so much fun too!

Pap Rally fun with the 5th grade boys!

Youth Football night at the Varsity game. They got to give the players high fives and then run through the tunnel with them as they went onto the field. Big Night for these sweet boys!

Levi made the Poth ISD FB page during a class experience in science class. Along with Harper & Hayes!

He's also been begging to mow the yard and Lex finally let him mow around the tree in the front yard. He's really very conscientious and will do a great job, I have no doubt. He was one happy kiddo getting to mow!

8th Grade Volleyball

Volleyball is in full swing! Katelyn is one of the setters this year on the B team and really enjoys it. She has been chosen as the captain for every game this season and gets to play the entire game. She was hoping to make A team, but being on B team has really been a great experience!

She was pulled up to A team for their tournament in Devine this past weekend. She didn't play much, but when she went in she made a lot of perfect passes and was great support for those that were on the bench too!

JH Cheer

JH Cheer Pep Rallies have been so fun to attend. The football team hasn't had any home games yet, so for now here are the pep rally pictures. The girls did get to go to one away game, but it was a Thursday night in Schulenberg, so we opted not to make the boys tag along for that one. We can't wait to see them in action this upcoming Thursday!

Our flyer!!

Cross Country

 8th Grade Cross Country

Katelyn is doing amazing this year in Cross Country, she got a PR of 13:15 at the FEAST meet in San Antonio, which last year she won district with a 14:42! She is one motivated girl and has her eyes on being on Varsity next year. Which if she keeps running like this, coach McKinney has already told her she will be!

Kyler enjoys the meets because he gets to sit next to Pappy and read. He is completely oblivious to everything around him. LOL He said the other night, "I can't believe some people don't love to read. Not reading is like not breathing!"

Logan and Katelyn made the newspaper after the Floresville meet. Katelyn placed 1st in the JH race and Logan placed 3rd! They push each other so well.

JH Girls

Look at these two. Two peas in a pod. I caught this moment while Lex was giving Katelyn a pep talk/prayer before her race. Check out their feet, they walk the exact same, like a mirror image!

She still has three more races this season!

Lex turns 42

Happy Birthday to the one that works so hard to take care of us, makes life way more fun and spontaneous, and shows us how to put Jesus first! On his birthday, we surprised him with low carb protein donuts (he loves them and is on Keto right now, so it was fitting)! Pumpkin Spice and Pecan Caramel - delish!  We waited to open presents until after school because Katelyn was already at cross country by the time the rest of the family woke up!

After school - present time!! He got a smoker with his birthday money from his Dad and has already made brisket, wings, pulled pork, tri-tip, and maybe more. He's loving it and we love enjoying the fruits of his labor! :)

That evening Lindsay came in town, so we were able to celebrate her too! She turned 46, two days earlier! We had homemade pizza, per Lex's request (Keto for him) and hung out for just a bit before he headed off to a Faith at Work conference at church. His faith and desire to grow in his faith is inspiring lately. So proud to call him ours!

Love you and Happy Birthday!
