Rodeo Time

 Levi went to the Rodeo with Jackson and his family and had a blast!

And Katelyn and I went for a girls night to see Cole Swindell! 

Valentine's Day

 Lex made it home just in time to celebrate Valentine's Day with us. We had pink pancakes for breakfast and the kids woke up to some candy and treats too. Nothing like a little sugar and then send them off to school!

Friday Night, the PTO hosted a dance for the elementary and their families. We had a great turnout! We set up this photo booth and I ended up sitting there all night taking pictures of everyone and then posted them on FB. The kids really had fun with it!

5th Grade Boys

We also had our traditional fondue after dinner on Valentine's night! Such a fun, easy way to do something special for our valentine's!

And Lex got low carb donuts instead...LOL!

Japan Trip

Lex traveled to Japan for work and was gone for a whole week. He had a great trip and sent me lots of pictures of his food! They ate well, that's for sure! We missed him and glad he made it home safely!

 

UIL Academics

Kyler received 3rd Place for Ready Writing

Levi received 1st place for Art Smart (he tied for 1st actually) and they received 1st place as a team.

Katelyn performed in UIL One Act Play as Child 3. They performed "I Never Saw Another Butterfly". They won first place as a team and Katelyn was awarded a medal for being a top supporting actor! 

Mimi, Pops, & Pappy came to watch their competition in Karnes City and to watch the boys receive their medal during the Elementary UIL Awards ceremony.

Just yesterday, Katelyn won 1st place for Art Smart and 4th place for Ready Writing. They'll do an awards ceremony soon, I am sure!

So proud of our hard working kiddos! Well deserved, keep working!

 

Drew's 13th Birthday!!

Drew turned 13 on January 26th and I was able to go up and visit him and Cindy at the hospital to celebrate! He was having such a great day and everyone gave him the most special treatment. He has the best nurses around! He was able to go home from the hospital a few days after this, but just 4 days later went back to the PICU. He's in our constant prayers. We hope he feels better soon and can go back home! We love you Drew! Happy Birthday!
