Levi Lately

Levi is becoming our GoPro - Pro!

Over spring break he decided to learn how to use the GoPro that we got for Christmas. It's waterproof, so we got it take to Hawaii and make some cool fun hype videos of our trip. Well, he already made some cool hype videos of swimming and bike riding! Can't wait to see what he does with our Hawaii trip photos!

He also had some friends over to swim, the water was still super cold, but they didn't care!

He has become Cookie's favorite bather too! He's so sweet with her!

Track season has come to an end. Levi did so well this year and improved a lot! He ended the season competing in Discus, the 800m (5th place) and the 2400m (10:30 min.). His times improved so much and he really enjoyed getting better each day! We're proud of his hard work!

As soon as track season ended, baseball season began and he is loving it! They had tryouts the Saturday after track ended and we were a little worried. They only were planning to take 12-15 boys and his grade, there are around 10 select baseball players, so that only left a few spots for the "little league" kids. Well, he worked so hard and made the team!! We are so happy for him and love watching him learn and enjoy the game. This is the first season Lex hasn't been his coach and I haven't been the book keeper. It's definitely a different vibe, but he's loving it and that's what matters!

Kyler Lately

The Elementary had an Open House in March, so we were able to go visit with Kyler's teachers, Mrs. Monroe (Language Arts & Social Studies) and Mrs. Hosek (Math & Science). He loved showing us around! Here he is showing us the library in Mrs. Monroe's room. He is one of the designated Librarians and apparently also knows all the secret crawl through spaces as well. Haha! Mrs. Monroe just laughed and told us all about his antics in class, they seem to get a long well :)

In Mrs. Hosek's class, she had some hands on activities for us to complete with the kids. We did not do to well on our "How well do you know Kyler?" quiz! haha! She too had nothing but great things to say about him, including bragging on how helpful and inquisitive he is! We left even more proud that we already were of this amazing kiddo! Can't believe elementary is almost over.

During Spring Break we went to a nursery to get some flowers and garden plants, but to Kyler's surprise, they also had a Venus Flytrap! He has been asking for one of these for awhile, so he decided to but it himself!

And we were able to fill up his garden with herbs....

Tomatoes, jalapeños, squash, cucumber, carrots, green beans, and even one blackberry plant!! He takes great care of it and they have grown so much already! Can't wait to get to reap what he sows!

This year Kyler is the Vice President of the National Elementary Honor Society. As an officer, he helped to run the induction ceremony for the new inductees. He did a fantastic job, we are so proud!

Beau Brockman - President
Kyler Poth - Vice President
Sawyer Albert - Treasurer
Tinley Hosek - Secretary

Friends!

BFF - Anna Rose

And new inductee and cousin, Ella Tackitt!

The officers were awarded a little swag for their NEHS pins. His was a gavel, which was very appropriate. As Vice President, his job is to keep the meetings in order with a gavel. Unfortunately, the gavel had been lost over the years so he begged me to buy him one, of which I obliged. Mrs. Darr made a big deal about it during the ceremony and she loved that he brought his own gavel to the meetings :)

Random March Fun

Mimi and Pops came down to watch the kids track meets, so during the day we checked out the Polish Heritage Museum in Panna Maria. It was quite impressive for being in the middle of nowhere. And pretty fun to learn the history of how this area was first settled by the Polish.

The wind was crazy in March!! One particular day this tree was uprooted and all the gates on our fences were broken by the wind. Luckily, Lex was able to fix it all up with in a day or two. Lucky to have a built in handy man!

Just 3 girls getting their hair done....

Spring Break shopping in San Antonio with a little Chipotle for lunch! Shopping with these 3 is getting more expensive, but love the time together! :)

More Spring Break fun at Urban Air!

Kyler overcame his fears and climbed to new heights!

Katelyn teaching the younger generation about cheer stunts! They love their big Varsity Cheerleader :)

Lex decided to replicate a wooden spatula we own and made a perfect copy! I'm so impressed!! Why do we ever buy anything? Haha, if only he didn't have a day job that kept his so busy!

Cookie Update

Cookie is all healed from her dog attack and thriving! She has settled in nicely and definitely loves us fiercely! She is the best welcome committee when we get home, even if we've only been gone for 10 minutes. It took us awhile to figure out how easy she actually is. We tried to put her in her crate when we left or in the laundry room, but she was not having it. She was so sad and freaked out, so we gradually started just leaving her in free in the house when we left and she is totally cool with that. We have no idea what she does, but she doesn't eat anything or scratch anything and is super happy to see us when we get home! She's also much happier sleeping in the kids beds with them, than in her crate, so that's what we do. And they love it too! Cookie has been a great addition to the family!

Being a poodle, her hair grows like humans, so we decided it was time to get her groomed. Her middle section had grown out enough after her surgery, we decided to trim down the rest of her hair to the same length. Wow, she looks like a totally different dog!! It's taken some getting used to, but we kind of like it shorter.
