Summer Basketball

The boys both really enjoyed basketball this summer. They started with Poth Summer camp and each received an award, Levi got Most Improved and Kyler got Best Teammate, so proud!

They also played ACYBL at the event center all summer long. It turned out to be great for both of them! They were each one of the oldest or the oldest on their team, so they were able to really build their confidence on the court with ball handling a lot during the game and each scorning points on most games! Levi was even asked to come check out an AAU team in SA that some of the kids on his team play for, so we're going to do that and see where it goes!

I apparently got a lot of videos of them playing, but not a lot of pictures! Sorry kiddos! Below Kyler is learning how to do the scoreboard, he loved this! The refs ended up offering him a job to keep score at the end of season tournament because he did such a great job! Unfortunately, he didn't actually get to do it, but it was a sweet gesture!

Mini Cheer Camp

Mini Cheer Camp

This year Katelyn got to be Adalyn's coach along with all the other incoming 2nd graders. Their performance on the last day was the best of all the grades, I am not biased at all :)

This summer she's been babysitting The Gallion girls, they are the cutest and loved getting special treatment from her during camp!!

2nd Grade!!

Summer Cheer camp

Cheer traveled to Roundrock again this year for cheer camp and had a blast. It's non-stop work and she is exhausted after, but lots of fun at the same time! This year their team brought home the LEADERSHIP award, which is given to the one team that all the other schools pick answering the question, "If I couldn't come to camp with my team, which team would I choose to come with?" Basically saying that Poth cheer exemplified leadership through their friendliness, hard work, and spirit! Love this award and so proud of them all! They also received the BANANA for the 2nd year in a row. This is also a huge honor, basically choosing Poth cheer as having the most spirit during the whole camp!!

Juniors and Seniors

Katelyn got to try out for All-American this year since she is an upperclassman now!! And she GOT IT!! She has been hoping for this since her first camp freshman year! Again, a huge honor after a lot of hard work and dedication!!  Great job kiddo!

Berklie and Kenzie also were chosen as All-American's from Poth!

Since Mimi and Pops' new apartment is right now the street from the hotel she stayed in, we were able to all come watch and cheer them on!

Team bonding at their Big Sis/Lil Sis dinner before camp!

June Fun

Here's a glimpse into some other fun things when did in June:

Levi celebrated a few friends birthday's!

Bryce's at the River:

Jackson's at the Lake

Kyler and I took many trips to the library to do the summer reading program, on this day we decided to try and solve the "Escape Room" puzzle and we did it! It was super fun to work together on!

Katelyn celebrated her friend, Kyndal's graduation and her friend, Kenzie's birthday with friends!

And between running and babysitting, she cuddling Cookie a lot too!

Lex went to Turkey for a work conference in June and although it was a short trip, considering how far he had to fly, he enjoyed the hotel, food, and views!

The boys and I decided to drive over and see what Cycle Ranch in Floresville was all about on a whim one afternoon. Luckily, they let us in for free because we quickly realized it was more for motorized dirt bikes than for bicycles. But we had fun checking it out and so did this pretty red bird Kyler took a picture of and Cookie :)

All three kiddos mastered their STAAR tests this year (and every year)!! We are so proud of all three of them for their desire to succeed! Here they are celebrating at the park with Ice Cream! Katelyn was off with friends, I believe :)

The theme for the boys this year was LEGOS!! They spent all their free time creating this Lego City that eventually turned into a very elaborate concert venue for Forrest Frank, Phil Wickham, Josiah Queen, Colton Dixon and all their other favorite Christian singers. They worked so hard on it and put on several shows for me too! Love their creativity and when they work together do it (mostly happily :)

Game time! Kyler went to Math camp and they played a mancala tournament, so we had to practice. Apparently our rules are not the right rules, so he didn't make it very far in the tournament. Whoops!

I have enjoyed cooking a lot lately! With our new outlook on healthy whole foods, it's been fun to try some new recipes and find things we all like but made with the least amount of processed ingredients. I finally made pizza that Kyler can eat (thanks to a recipe from Lindsay), I just need to find a good white sauce for next time since we can't do tomatoes for Kyler yet!

Javelinas in the backyard! This was a first!
