Friday Night Lights

We had our first football game of the season!
The cheerleaders did a great job!

Levi is an official "filmer" for the varsity football team, so he and Hayes get to sit above the press box to film for the coaches. He is really loving it! So while Katelyn was cheering and Levi was filming, Kyler helped out in the concession stand all on his own accord. He started by helping Sandy & Anna Rose sell waters, but worked his was into the concession stand. They were bragging at what a hard worker he was! Proud of my hard working kiddos!

We love our little Poth Cousins!

XC Begins

The high school teams actually had pictures taken this year and they turned out great!

Floresville Meet
1st place team
6th place individual
185 girls competed, 24 teams

SA Friday Night Lights Meet
4th Place Team
10th Individual with a new PR of 11:54!! This new time happens to rank Katelyn 3rd in the State for 3A girls XC!

Levi had his first meet in Karnes City too and did amazing!! He's dropped 2 minutes off his time since last year! He's continued to run even though he also started football.

JH Boys got 1st place and so did the JH Girls!

Great job!!! We're so proud!

First Day of School

Praying for a safe and happy year full of growth, friendships, perseverance, and lots of great memories!

11th, 8th, & 6th grade

End of Summer Fun

End of Summer Lake Bash at the Eckel's with Levi's friends.

Back to school shopping and Kyler trying on a football helmet, this might be the only time he wears one of these! haha!

I've tried a few new recipes lately and Kyler was especially excited to eat some pizza! Lindsay gave us a good GF dough recipe. He's sensitive to gluten, tomatoes, regular milk products, garlic, and basil. Pretty much everything that makes up pizza, but he was happy with our substitutions!!

Now this is what summer should be like....Reading in the pool!!

Back to School Prep began with Meet the Teacher Night....

These 8th graders are looking sharp, ready to start the year off right!

Kyler's first locker! He's a big Junior High student now! And he had a blast running around with some of his besties!

The night before school started, we captured our annual water tower pic and ate ice cream!! Here's to another great year!

Happy Sweet 16, Katelyn Rae Poth!

Our sweet girl turned 16! Katelyn is growing up to be an amazing young lady. She is a great friend, sister, and daughter in so many ways. She's energetic, trustworthy, passionate, and determined in everything she does. What I am most thankful for though, is her love for Jesus! I pray she always puts Him first in her life and that she doesn't find her worth through worldly things, but in the fact that she is a child of God. We love you to infinity and beyond! And pray for your safety and good decisions as your drive off into this world with more independence!!

She started her day with a XC run of course!! She was scheduled to babysit, but they cancelled so we made the most of it! After XC we opened presents and ate bagels and lox per her request!

We had another big surprise planned for her, so we hopped in the car and headed to Pleasanton to "eat lunch with Pappy". She had no idea that we actually had bought her a car and parked it at Pappy's house!! We had made a plan to say, "I guess Pappy's cleaning lady is here today," but she beat us too it. She said the same thing!! haha! Then when we got out of the car, Lex pushed the alarm on the new car and handed her the key and said, "Here, see if these keys will turn off that alarm." She was confused but tried it and then it hit her, this was HER car!  We pulled it off and she loves it! It's a Mazda CX-5, its a few years old with some miles but not too many. We are hoping it'll make it through college for her!

We had planned her birthday party to be on Friday night, but quite a few of her close friends couldn't make it. Since her babysitting job was cancelled, we decided to just throw it out there and see if her friends could come over on her actual birthday (which was Tuesday) and they all could come! She was so excited! What a perfect day to celebrate her SWEET SIXTEEN!

The next day we went to Beeville to do her driving test and she passed with flying colors!!

The next morning, driving herself and Levi to XC practice!!

Happy Birthday my sweet girl! We are so proud of you and love being along side you as you navigate this growing up thing! You're rocking it, by the way!

Cheer Pictures - Junior Year

Team pictures took place in June and then she and I had our own photo shoot in August! Love them all!
