Lex's Birthday dinner was a success. I had secretively invited our neighbors over for dinner and somehow, Lex never found out. He was pleasantly surprised when they rang the doorbell and wished him a Happy Birthday!

We started the night with some wine and savory hot cheese dip (Tastefully Simple helped on that one), then for the main course I made Parmesan seared Ahi Tuna with Asparagus and creamy grits! Sounds yummy right!

You can't have a Birthday without cake either. I forgot to take a picture before we ate it...but here is the specially requested Oreo cake! I had to make up a recipe to get all of Lex's favorites into one cake. It's a "Dirt Cake" spread in between layers of chocolate cake with cream cheese icing and of course decorated with Oreos! It was excellent and we are still trying to finish it! Happy Birthday Lexipoo!

I had to add this one picture too! My company had a charity softball game last Friday and here is a picture of me in the outfield! We had a crazy socks theme, as you can tell!! It was so much fun!

Good ole' Texas!

This past weekend we made a trip out to Texas. We stopped in Dallas first and stayed with my parents. Luckily it fell right in between all four of our birthdays, so we celebrated them all! For my birthday my Mom and I went to get manicures and pedicures! Look at her lovely toes :o)

We unfortunately didn't have a whole lot of time in Dallas, but I did get a chance to meet Janet for lunch. She came over to AA Poly Bag and we ate at the deli a few doors down!

Janet brought her friend Kim from work with her to lunch and what a small world it is...Kim actually went to elementary with me in Azle and now she lives in the Dallas area and works with Janet! How funny is that! So we got a chance to catch up and reminisce about our childhood!
Here we are helping Dad "work" at the office. Boy do we look busy! They are excited to announce though that they will be moving their office to a spot only 2 miles from their house! It's going to be very nice and convenient!

On Friday afternoon, we headed down to College Station with Danny and Toni and I realized that I didn't get any pictures with them for some reason! Here are a few others from the weekend...

First stop on Saturday was Mi Cocina. We had a mini reunion of our PBX girls! We missed those that couldn't make it, but it sure was good to see everyone else! Mi Cocina is a little whole in the wall Mexican Restaurant in Bryan that we used to go to all the time, they even have a picture of us up on the wall...and it's still there! Good times!

After lunch we tailgated with Lex's friends. They definitely know how to do it right. They had a TV, a tent, food and all you can drink. We had a great time getting ready for the game! This picture is of Lex and his good friend Brian from Plesanton!

Off to the game...we haven't been to Kyle field or College Station for that matter for 3 years! They have since gotten a new HUGE jumbotron (pictured below) and two new indoor practice areas. We are stepping up!

I had to take a pic of the Fightin' Texas Aggie Band running off the field too! Great shot!

Angela and James sat with us, so we got a group shot!

On Labor Day, we got a chance to have a cook out at my Me-Maw's place. We played pool and just relaxed. It was a perfect ending to a great weekend in Texas!

WE MISS YOU ALL SO MUCH! IT WAS GREAT TO SEE YOU ALL, REMEMBER YOU CAN COME VISIT ANYTIME! WE LOVE YA!

My Singaporean sis is celebrating a birthday today! Lindsay...hope you have a wonderful day, (don't worry...won't tell them your age). I think Lindsay was about my age now in the pic...man, I love the early century do!
