Sugar Mountain, NC

We went skiing this weekend at Sugar Mountain in North Carolina with 3 other couples. It was only 3 hours away, I can't believe this is the first time we've been since we lived here. We had a blast! I had only been skiing once in college, but Lex is pretty much a pro so we were anxious to see how this was going to work! I was pleasantly surprised though that I picked it back up pretty quickly and after one green run, headed straight for the blues. I did fall a few times pretty hard, but it was all worth it! I am sore today though :o)

Ryan and Sara at the top of the mountain with us! This was Sara's first time skiing and she only fell once all day long! I am impressed!

Clayton & Julie went too - neither of them had skied before and they both seemed to like it! Guess this means we will have to make another trip up there so we can all get really good!

Lex did get a chance to go down some hard slopes - I would get off at the blue lift and he would ride on up to the top and take the double black down to meet back up with me! He made it down several times without falling...I told you he was a pro!

Here he is with a big grin after getting down the double black without falling!

Here's the whole crew, minus Kelly and Mario, stopping for lunch! This place was crowded as you can tell!

We rented a cabin in the mountains that was awesome! It was in the middle of nowhere, next to a stream with a large deck, jacuzzi, grill and foosball table! We had a great time just hanging out in the cabin all weekend!

Here's the inside!

Lex and I were the lucky ones to choose the loft...so this is where we slept! We had to climb up a ladder to get to our bed. It wasn't so bad except for how hot it got at night!

Ryan, Lex and Clayton went fly fishing. They saw lots of big fish, but nothing was biting!

Wow! It looks like y'all had a really fun time. That is something I've never done. I am so glad you both like going and doing all the things you do.

That looks like so much fun. I wish we had snow somewhere a bit closer. Maybe that will just have to be our excuse to go visit.:)

Looks like a lot of fun & I love the log cabin! In answer to your question, 27 Dresses was really cute, but I'm not sure if Lex would like it or not- if he doesn't mind chick flicks, then yes!!! :0)
