Reading, Partying and Sitting

We have had a great week! The week started with a party for Logan's First Birthday! Can you believe we have a toddler on the block now? Soon enough they will all be running circles around us! Hard to believe!

Katelyn is really starting to enjoy her books more and more. Especially ones with monkeys :o)

Katelyn was just soaking it all in. She isn't much of a party girl, we've learned, it takes her a while to really get warmed up in large groups of people, but I am sure that will change with time!

Gig 'em Ags!!

My Mom sent this adorable Aggie outfit for Katelyn. She has stayed nice and warm during some of the cold rainy days we've had lately. Thanks Grandma!

We have been practicing her sitting skills a lot lately and she is getting really good! Not quite ready to go solo yet, but getting stronger everyday.

The end of this week hasn't been as much fun. Katelyn has her first official cold...runny nose, cough, watery eyes and 99.5 fever. Poor thing, I wish I could just fix it for her. She's taking it like a champ though! Hopefully it won't last too much longer.

My nephew is finally here! He arrived around 1:45 Texas time. Baby and Mommy are good! He weighed 7 lbs. 5 oz (not 7.5 lbs...like the cake says..oops) and was 20 inches long!! So Happy for Cindy & Matt!

We decided to have a little BIRTH-day celebration here, since we aren't able to be there on his first day in this world! Katelyn even helped me make the cake! She's going to be a big helper one day!

Day in the Life

Just a sweet picture!

Her new favorite book is Strawberry Shortcake...she actually looks directly at the words on the page while I am reading. Then she pets the fuzzy animals and tries to grab the strawberries off the page. Then she has to finish it off by chewing on the pages!

Her first tooth is still trying to come in. I first saw it a few weeks ago, but I think it is just now really starting to break through the gum. The past few nights right before bedtime she just screams in pain..we thought she was just overtired, but last night after some tylenol, she was a new baby! I feel so bad for her and that we didn't realize she was in pain...poor thing! I hope this one pops through all the way soon! Zoom in on the pic and you can kind of see it!

She is really enjoying rice ceral these days...she is grabbing for the spoon and trying to feed herself already! The new highchair makes all the difference! This pic is after she finished eating, if you look closely you can see that she is trying to lick the rest of her rice cereal up off her bib! haha!

Every picture I tried to take lately, she starts smiling before I even get the camera on. Guess I'll need to sneak up on her if I don't want her to smile for the camera! haha!

Another new thing in the past week or two, she has begun pulling her knees up under her during tummy time!

With our new TV, we can watch Baby Einstein videos from You Tube...she seems to pay attention to them, but not overly excited! She likes real TV better! :o)

Ginobili is so gentle with Katelyn...he loves to just watch her and smell her! Guess she likes about the same things about him...haha!

I actually took this picture last week, but forgot to share...she hadn't quite figured out how to spin around in her jumper so she would lean back and reach for her toys behind her head! This week, she has learned how to turn around! Man, how quickly they learn!

First Bite of Cereal and New Pics

On Sunday we got Katelyn all dressed up for church.

Then she enjoyed trying on Daddy's hat! I think she liked it!

We even took Ginobili on a walk. Poor dog doesn't get as many walks these day...it's way too cold out there most days!

We also started Katelyn on rice cereal this past weekend. She did pretty good, but since then doesn't seem to be too interested in it. She's more interested in chewing on the soft spoon :o)

She really loves her bouncer lately and really gets into it! This is actually a mild video of her bouncing, I grabbed the camera after she was really going at it and as soon as I started recording she quit. I'm sure you'll enjoy anyway!

Megann's Shower

On Saturday, I helped host our friend Megann's baby shower. She is due in March and having a little baby boy! I am so excited for her and can't wait to meet baby Prater!

Pleasanton Christmas

I can't believe it's taken me this long to post Christmas pictures, but it's been a busy week! For some reason on my new computer, I can't organize the pictures in order like I used to, oh well, you get the idea! I also rotated some of these pictures, but apparently it didn't save them that way! Again, you get the idea :o) I'll do better in the next post, I hope!

We were able to spend one afternoon at the Ranch with Aunt Patricia and Uncle Victor! Katelyn sporting her camo of course!

Our trip to Texas was quite a fiasco! But Ginobili found comfort in this chair at the hotel we stayed in! He's not allowed on the furniture at home, but somehow he knows in a hotel he's got free reign! He slept on this chair all night long! Too funny!!
