Me-Maw Texas Visit

It has taken me awhile to post this, but I wanted to be sure to remember this time for our family so I am including it on our blog in hopes that one day I will get our blog made into a book. On September 24th, my grandmother (my Mom's Mom), Me-Maw, passed away. She was 97 years old and had a wonderful blessed life. We all miss her dearly, but know she is now in a better place. Here is a picture collage that we made and had displayed at her visitation and funeral.
Thank you to everyone that sent thoughts, prayers, flowers, food, etc. to our family. We really appreciate it!

Although it was an unexpected and sad trip. We were thankful to be able to spend some extra time with my side of the family, expecially on my 30th Birthday! Yes...I am 30 now..YIKES! Here are a few pictures of our trip...Drew was so relaxed on his first swinging experience, he almost fell asleep, too cute!

Pops & Drew chiliing!

The kiddo's trying to steal each others paci's (cup-key, as Katelyn says) after they woke up from a nap.

Awww...cousin love!

My Mom is now officially "Mimi"! I was showing Katelyn pictures of Me-Maw and she was trying to repeat it back, but it came out Mimi, so I went up to my Mom (at the time, Katelyn's Grandma) and told her that if she wanted Katelyn to start saying her name, she should reconsider the name, Mimi. Just at that time, Katelyn looked up at her and said, clear as day...Mimi! She couldn't resist, but love it and is now loving her new name! So here is Katelyn picking Mimi's nose...not really, but it sure looks like it! :o)

Drewski....love this pic! He's becoming such a big boy and looks just like his Mama now!!

Piano Lessons, take II...Katelyn loves music. I know all kids do, but since she is my only kiddo I don't have much to compare her to, so to me, she really has a knack for music...maybe she'll end up being a dancer or singer (if that's the case, it can't be hermeditary...haha (inside joke)!!

We are looking forward to seeing everyone again soon. And I am sorry I wasn't able to see any friends during our trip to Dallas, but I am sure you understand!

We miss you Me-Maw!
