We headed back from Myrtle Beach really early on Monday to beat the traffic, so we all had time to nap in the afternoon and then have a nice little cookout in the backyard. Katelyn swam, Lex cooked & Sandra and Fred helped him get everything ready. After we ate, the hot air balloons from Freedom Weekend Aloft flew by our backyard. The evening before (when we were still at the beach) the wind was just perfect and directed the hot air balloons right into our neighborhood park. They ended up giving some of the older kids short rides. How cool is that! We missed out on that night, but at least we were able to watch them go by from the convenience of our own back porch. How pretty!

What a nice afternoon you must have had watching the beautiful balloons pass by as your relaxed in your back yard with Fred and Sandra.
What an incredible sight to see...these amazing balloons were just like a fantasy to view! Great memories made on Memorial Day in Simpsonville!
