33 Weeks

I hit the 33 week mark on Tuesday! It really helps me taking these pictures, because somehow it has made the weeks go by a little faster! Lex had already left for work when I remembered I needed to take a pic on Tuesday morning, so this isn't the best picture since I had to use the timer. Anyways, feeling good over all, just some lower back pain over the last few days. Exercise has helped though. Hopefully it'll work itself out quickly.

Yesterday was my 31st birthday - crazy! I really don't feel that old :) I had a good day over all, hit up the zoo with our playgroup, opened some nice presents, dinner & took Katelyn to watch Daddy's volleyball game for the first time. She really enjoyed it, who knows maybe she'll end up playing one day :)

How cute is this? :)

32 Weeks

I am 32 weeks now! Feeling more like 38...but we'll get there. We so are ready to meet our newest little one!

And of course, a new pic of Katelyn in her favorite spot in her room....hiding in her stuffed animals!

Airplane Quilt

My Mom finished the quilt and sent me this pic recently. How cute is that?? She did a wonderful job! I look forward to watching our little man grow up with this. Thank you!!!

31 Weeks

So I've decided to try and take weekly pictures throughout the remainder of my pregnancy. It really is fun to look back on, so hopefully you won't get too bored watching my belly grow! Only 9 more weeks to go!

One funny thing...on today's Lily Pie Ticker, it says that your baby is starting to have less wiggle room as they grow bigger and so they are probably sleeping a lot. I can definitely say that is not the case, unless he is one restless sleeper. This boy is a kicker...constantly, he is definitely a lot more active than Katelyn was. He keeps me up at night and makes it hard to go back to sleep in the middle of the night too. I think he's just preparing me for all those sleepless nights to come.

Birthday Weekend

This past Friday was Lex's Bday, so we started the day off by heading to Chick fil A for a family "free" breakfast. It just so happened to be the week that Chick Fil A was giving out free breakfast sandwiches, so we made the best of it and went on his birthday! After Lex headed to work, Katelyn and I stuck around and played on the playground. She was the only kid in there (since it was pretty early) so she was actually able to climb to the very top without getting trampled on. She had a blast!

When Lex got home, he opened presents and then we headed out for pizza on his request for dinner.

One of his favs is Dirt Cake (basically an Oreo based layered pudding type dessert), so earlier that day Katelyn helped me make his cake, I think this was her first Oreo experience, yum!

Saturday we had the carpet installed, so Katelyn and I tried to stay out of the house most of the day - so we wouldn't get in their way. Lex had to hang out at the house, so he spent a lot of time on our back porch "supervising" the carpet people!

We met up with Megann & Andy at the park and ended up running into Ella, one of Katelyn's friends from school, too. We had a good time.

We LOVE the new carpet. Everything feels so much nicer and cleaner now, we just hope it stays this way for a while.

Happy Birthday Hubby!

Preparing for our little man...

I will be 30 weeks on Tuesday...which feels like a huge milestone. This past month seems to have gone by slow and I feel like I should have hit the 30 week mark awhile ago. I have a feeling the next 2 1/2 months is going to go by very slow. We are making really good progress on preparing for our little man though. Over the past few weeks, we (I mean Lex) moved the guest bed upstairs, painted the room, painted the guest room furniture to use in Katelyn's room, moved the baby furniture into the baby room, bought 2 of the three airplanes and hung them up, etc. Today I started and finished the babies NAME decor to hang over his crib. It turned out super cute and I REALLY wanted to post a pic of it up here. BUT, we have decided to keep his name a secret again as we did with Katelyn, until he decides to make his arrival into this world. It just makes that moment, so much more special to "announce" _________ has arrived! Anyways, my mom has pretty much finished the quilt and has the curtains next on the list. On Saturday we are getting new carpet in the entire house, so once that is done, I will start decorating and buying a few other necessities. It's going to be a huge process to get all the closets cleaned out, breakables out of sight, toys probably in the garage, etc. It will be HUGE nesting feat and I think it is going to be grand - haha! What a better reason to do some deep cleaning, at least I am hoping that I will get that inspired this week! Okay, enough rambling...approx. 10 more weeks until our little man arrives. My how I can't wait to see what he looks like!

29 weeks and 5 days

Katelyn "helped" paint her baby brother's room. Notice there isn't any paint on the roller, but she had fun anyway.

The beginnings of his room. You can see the material we are going to use hanging on the rocking chair and a make shift crib skirt (that is next on my to do list to complete). This really doesn't do it justice, we already like how it's turning out though. More pics to come as we get closer to completion.

Not Goodbye...

Our good friends the Ciomplerlik's are moving to Minnesota in less than 2 weeks! We have been so blessed to have them in our lives for the past 5 1/2 years. We first met Clayton (living 5 houses down from us) when he was out walking his tiny jack russell mix, a minivan in the driveway with an Aggie sticker & no wife/kids insight. We weren't quite sure what to think...haha! Since then we've had so much fun - marriages, vacations, hiking trips, home improvement projects, cookouts, fishing/hunting (boys only of course), and most importantly BABIES! We are so sad to see them go, but luckily they hope to eventually make it back to Texas one day (just as we hope to)...so it's not goodbye...it's see ya soon!

Friends Forever...
We even took a night out without the kiddos to reminisce and enjoy each other's company. We're going to miss these guys!

Our playgroup put together a Going Away Party for the Ciomperlik's last Saturday as well. It was the first time we had all the families together at the same time (including Dad's). We had a great time!

Lex and Katelyn had a blast in the lazy river. He set her up on as many noodles he could find and she just floated around and almost fell asleep she was so relaxed.

We are very happy for their family & pray that they have a wonderful time in Minnesota. We will miss you and can't wait to reunite one day in Texas! Best of luck!
