Gig 'em, Happy Thanksgiving & Merry Christmas :)

Our little Aggies! We decked the kids out in Aggie gear on Thanksgiving to watch the game. Too bad we lost, but they sure looked cute!

Pappy even joined in on the Maroon Out!

This year we decided to make Thanksgiving as little work and stress as possible, so we ordered our meal from Cracker Barrel. Definitely the way to go, plus easy and very little mess! Poor Levi had to watch from his carseat while we ate...he had spit up on the swing, so the cover was being washed. At least he had a First Thanksgiving Bib to make him feel included.

Grammy and Katelyn enjoyed cooking cookies one afternoon...with Orange sprinkles of course, Katelyn's favorite color!

"Mommy's Little Helper" - I love this cute apron Grammy made for Katiepoo! She is definitely my favorite little helper and such a great big sister!

Again, one of Levi's favorite spots!

We actually put up our tree on Thanksgiving Day - it took us 2 days to put it up this year, instead of one afternoon like normal, but it's up and we are looking forward to our first Christmas as a family of 4!

Recent Pics

Here are a few pics of the past week or so...Levi is already growing up so quickly! My parents were here for the first week and now the Poth's are here. It's been such a big help to have our family here. Overall, this little guy has been a breeze compared to little Miss Katelyn! Probably because we knew what to expect, but man I am hoping this little guy will stay this easy! I am loving life and so happy to be a family of 4!

Pops, Mimi, Katelyn & Levi - notice Levi's room. Last time I posted pics of his room, I couldn't show you his name on the wall :)

The afternoon of our photoshoot, Katelyn had a big fall/trip on the sidewalk and scraped up her face - poor thing! It's just now healing, but I sure am glad that it didn't happen before our family pics.

One of Levi (and Mommy's) favorite spots!

Welcome Home

On Thursday we brought Levi home for the first time and were pleasantly surprised by this large bouquet of roses from Sandra & Fred ( Grammy & Pappy). They are just beautiful & so thoughtful, a tradition in the Poth family! We can't wait for them to come meet Levi next week!!

All dressed and ready for his car ride home!

Enjoying his first swing ride!

Sweet big sister

Poor Katelyn has just been so neglected during these last two weeks....

oh wait, I mean spoiled!! :)

She has the undivided attention of her Mimi & Pops...they have been playing "school" for days and Pops showed her how to play hide and seek in her laundry basket - I think she liked it!

She's got it made. Next week she'll be equally spoiled by her Grammy & Pappy too! She can't wait! We are so thankful for all the help and support from our family!!!

Hello World!!!

Leissner Ferdinand Poth IV

"LEVI"

Born: November 8th @ 6:47 PM
8 lbs. 7 oz, 21" long

Well, as most of you already know by now, the previous blog post was written about 30 minutes before I went into labor on my own! We had the induction planned for the next morning, but apparently little Levi decided that was not soon enough. I wrote that post, then laid down for a quick nap and the contractions started. After about 30 minutes, I decided these were the real thing, called Lex, he dropped everything headed home to pick me up and we were at the hospital by around 3:45 pm. They got us in a room pretty quick, but the doc decided I need to walk around until 5 pm to make sure everything was progressing before they checked us in. Well at 5 pm, I was having some pretty major contractions about 2-3 minutes apart so there was no question this was it! The doc joked about getting me my epidural ASAP so they could get this baby out by 7 pm before the nurses changed shifts....we all laughed, thinking that would never happen. Well by 6 pm, my epidural was in, they broke my water and I dilated to 10 cm within 20 minutes. I only had to push through 1.5 contractions, maybe 5 minutes?!? Easiest part of the whole pregnancy/recovery so far :)

We were so happy that he decided to come a little earlier, sure makes for a much more memorable, exciting entrance into this world!

Welcome little man, we love you soo much!

Love that he likes to hold my finger while he practices sucking, so sweet!

Mimi was able to come up the night he arrived. Our good friend Ryan came down to watch Katelyn while she slept, so my Mom could come meet Levi! She even thought to bring us dinner & a big bouquet of balloons!

Profile shot, he definitely has some resemblance to Katelyn when she was born, but only some features, that dark hair makes him look so different, we love it!

Pops drove in and arrived the next day, so happy to have them both here to help us during this time. It's been a much easier transition to have their help!

Daddy and his little boy!

Katelyn came up to meet her baby brother and was such a sweetie pie to him. She is going to be a wonderful Big Sister, I have no doubt. Love this picture!

First time getting to hold her baby brother, look at that big smile, she is soo happy!

Katelyn had these same lips when she was born, we call the chin the Kilgore curl back :)

My sweet little boy!
So happy!
