This past weekend, I (yes, just me, kid free) headed down to Houston for a good friends wedding. I left at 6 am Saturday and returned around midnight Sunday night. It was only 1 night, but I maximized my 2 days "off" and I squeezed in a lot of fun!
Here I am with Emily and Clint and a few of my PBX friends from college. We had a great time, it's amazing how although we don't get to see each other that often, we seem to pick right back up where we left off.
The wedding and reception were beautiful, as you can see!
I was able to spend some time with my sister's family too. I stayed with them and they were the best hostesses ever! I even got to spend some good quality time with my nephew without my own kids pulling me in the other direction :)
Cindy and I even got a few chances to get away by ourselves for mani/pedi's, lunch and we took this awesome art class, Vino Artino, where you all paint the same picture and get to bring your own wine. Loved this and we plan on doing it again when we are back in town with my Mom, she would love this!
We also went to my friend, Karen's son's 4th birthday party, with Drew! How much cuter can you get?? Love this little guy!
While Cindy was taking our picture, he leaned in for a big wet pizza kiss :) Too sweet!
Thanks to Emily for getting married and The Fleharty's for hosting me, but most of all - thanks to Lex for taking excellent care of our kids! This was the first time he watched both kids by himself for more than a few hours and he did fabulous. He even took them out to run errands, to the park and out to breakfast on Sunday morning at a sit down restaurant! I am so thankful and can't wait for my next trip....are you ready Lex...haha!!

We're glad you came! We needed a good dose of Auntie KK!
Thanks for posting pictures of your trip.
Emily was a beautiful bride. I am so happy for her.
I am so glad that you got to come to Texas and Lex is a great Daddy for being Mr. MOM for the weekend.
Yes, I would love that painting class. It looks like so much fun.
So glad you had some good sister time.
Love,
Mimi
