Happy Thanksgiving

We started Thanksgiving week off with a visit from Grammy & Pappy arriving on Monday evening. Just in time to go watch Katelyn in her Thanksgiving Pageant at school on Tuesday morning. It was adorable. They made these adorable hats and each class sang 2+ songs in front of all the parents in the chapel. K's class sang, I'm a Nut and Fat Turkey! She did great and had practiced the songs at home so I had already been singing them myself too :) We got a great video too, so maybe I'll post that one day soon!

On Wednesday, my parents arrived in time for Levi's Birthday party, then the house was converted over to Thanksgiving decor! (By Friday morning it was then time for Xmas - 3 different decors in 3 days, whew!)

Thanksgiving Day...Our table was so beautiful this year. The Poth's sent us a beautiful centerpiece of fresh flowers and a new table runner, Mimi brought me some antique silver candle holders, and Katelyn made our place cards. She actually wrote each person's name on each card as well (or traced that is), but I was very impressed with how hard she tried and how well she did. I think we'll keep them to use from years to come!

K's adorable bow!

Levi loves wrestling with his Daddy!

Sweet

Time to chow down!

Football and playtime!

And now it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....her first official gingerbread house, made with Mimi!

Keep reading...I posted another one tonight too...

Party Time!!

We waited to have Levi's birthday party until both sets of Grandparents were in town for the week of Thanksgiving! I am so glad we did, he really enjoyed being in the spotlight and had such a fun time! My sister made his adorable T-shirt and we decked out the place in a sock monkey theme.

12 month stats:
26 lbs (88%)
32.5" tall (98%)

He enjoyed his cupcake a little more this time. Instead of just playing with it, he ate the entire thing and then started signing "more"! :)

Happy Birthday Little Man!

Happy 1st Birthday, Levi!

Hard to believe it's been a whole year since this little guy arrived into this world. Our little wrinkly 8 lb. baby is gone, it's so hard to believe. It really is amazing to me how much they grow in their first year. He comprehends so much already, is starting to think about walking, saying a few words, and has such a loving yet stubborn personality.  My all time favorite - when he looks up at me with so much love and pride and says Mama, Mama, Mama - melt my heart!

My prayers for this boy (and Katelyn) is that they grow up to love God and love people! That Lex and I support them in whatever they want to be as long as they do it for the glory of God. We had an excellent speaker today at MOPS and I am feeling extra inspired, wanting to cherish every moment I can with my children and pray for their futures and how we can guide them to be the best they can be.

We had a nice, low-key day...Presents, MOPS, Park (2x), smash (cup)cake photo shoot, and Chick-fil-A for dinner. And several Facetime's with family!! We plan to have his official party with both sets of grandparents come to visit over Thanksgiving!

Facetiming! So thankful for the ability to see and talk to family on special days like this even though we live so far apart. Can't wait to celebrate with them in person in a few weeks!

We saw this at Cracker Barrel the other day...our little Rockin' Monkey Man!

Happy 1st Birthday, Levi!
You have changed our lives forever and I wouldn't change a thing!
