Snow Storm

We had a nice surprise on Saturday afternoon...SNOW! Katelyn was actually in her room "napping" while the rest of us were actually napping, she came out of her room and woke us up to let us know it was snowing! Crazy! We watched from the window for awhile, it was really coming down hard and covered everything up in no time. When Levi woke up we all bundled up and headed outside to play!

Levi was not a fan....

Katelyn however, was truly in heaven....she has wanted it to snow all winter, first thing on the list - a snow angel!

It was beautiful! We ran, played in the backyard, had a snowball fight, went down to the creek (Levi actually tolerated that part and didn't want to leave.)

Then it was time to build a snow-woman - Pinkie, that is! Katelyn's idea to use the volleyball (with snow for hair) as her head.

Levi was happier on the inside while snowballs were thrown at him through the window!

**Notice Lex's ski goggles and NO SOCKS - crazy boy!**

Reunited and it feels so good!!

This morning we headed about an hour south to the Georgia border to meet up with Sara & Emery - they are in Atlanta visiting their family and met some of us from the playgroup for a reunion. When I told Katelyn this morning who we were going to see...she started running around the house screaming to Daddy..."We are going to get to see Emmy!!!" Over and over....Love her enthusiasm!  The park was on the lake, so they spent a lot of time playing in the mud, then we ate lunch and played at the playground...we spent 4 hours there and could have played all day if it weren't for Levi and Emma being ready for their naps. We had a great time and hope they visit again soon. Here are Emery, Katelyn and Lily having a blast getting dirty!

Valentine's Day

We had a great Valentine's Day...the best part was how excited Katelyn was this year. She woke up and before she even came to get us (we were still sound asleep in bed) she got herself completely dressed in her special Valentine's outfit....I don't know if she was most excited about getting candy or giving her friends/teachers/daddy their Valentine's, but she was super excited!

I also got a few surprises from my Valentine :)

We made cookies a few days before Valentine's and both kids were able to "help"!

Someone got a little sprinkle happy :)

He's a GREAT catch!

Going in for a hug....

My sweet girl :)

New Videos

You'll need to turn the volume up on this one...he mumbles and whispers a lot of it...

This one for some reason isn't showing Katelyn. If you want the full view, click on the "Dizzy Kids" title and it will take you to youtube to watch it...

Katelyn - 3 1/2

This past week Katelyn is officially 1/2 way through her 3rd year of life. In ways she seems so much older than 3 1/2, I don't want her to grow up quite so fast. I've told her she has to stay 3 forever and she can't grow up...she is not on board with that. She really wants to grow up and be a Mommy :) And a construction worker, a veterinarian, a lady bug...ya know, the normal stuff too! She has hit the WHY stage in full force. She's always been curious, talkative and asked a lot of questions...but my oh my...she is not satisfied with any of my answers lately. No matter how many times I answer her she asks WHY again and again and again!!  Her teacher at school said that she always has a smile on her face, is always willing to help others and seems to love school...I can't be prouder!

First curling iron experiment and french manicure :)

Happy Half Birthday!!

Silly Kiddos

Here are just a few reasons why I smile so much! :) Yes, I may have to drink several cups of coffee to keep up...but who couldn't be happy with these fun kiddos around!

And little dreaming too....

And some big dreaming :) This is a pontoon boat from the boat show...

15 Months

We've got a full fledged toddler on our hands now. He is at such a fun age, we are loving it. He is starting to drop his morning nap, although on the days he skips it, he usually still takes a little cat nap in the car if we are out and about. I don't mind because now his afternoon naps are closer to 2.5 hours, which makes for a nice break. He is definitely a little ham and enjoys making us laugh...turning in circles to get dizzy; blowing his nose right after I take the kleenex away on purpose (He can blow his nose more effectively than Katelyn can to this day :); moving his feet super quick in place; walking backwards, then forwards, then backwards, etc,: playing chase, jumping/wrestling on us, etc... He is also a little unsure of strangers talking to him (he buries his face in me) but warms up quickly and is off exploring.  He has 11 teeth, with his 4th molar making it's way in soon. His separation anxiety has gotten so much better. I now make sure to say something like "It's time to tell Mommy bye bye" as we walk towards his room at church, etc...and now he waves goodbye and doesn't cry!! Love it and hope that he continues this! He is saying a handful or two of words very well and attempts more and more everyday. His pronunciations aren't quite as clear as Katelyn's were at this age, but we are finally at the point where he will at least attempt to repeat us. For awhile, he wouldn't even try...so that's exciting to hear his little interpretations....Here's what I can think of that he can say and I can understand: Mama, Dada, bye bye, pop, cracker, Sissie, more, yeah (and can now nod his head yes), quack/duck (I can't tell which one he is saying exactly), moon, bubba, no no, tractor, car, night night, paci (TaTe), Boo (as in peek-a-boo)...I'm sure there are a few others, but that's what I can think of at the moment.

He is also pretty good at repeating different rhythms when singing too. Some of his favorite things right now are the book Good Night Moon, pointing out airplanes in the sky, trucks/cars, bananas and all fruit, eating with a spoon by himself has been a huge treat, waving goodbye to Daddy in the morning, welcoming Daddy home in the evenings, his Paci (TaTe) and Blankie, dancing, playing chase with Katelyn, wrestling, hugs and kisses.

Stats: 27 lbs (85%); 33" (98%), 19" head (84%)
