As I look back at the posts from this year, the one thing I have not been able to post yet is the passing of one of the most important people in our lives, Lex's Mother, Sandra or "Grammy" around here. I haven't had the words or the right mind set until now. We miss her dearly and nothing has been the same since. She passed away on October 17th, 2016 in her home unexpectedly. We know she is in a better place and has a healthy body now, so we have peace in knowing we will see her again one day. It still doesn't make it easy by any means. We still talk about her daily, the kids pray for her nightly, and everything is still considered "Grammy & Pappy's". The kids have handled it extremely well, almost too well. It makes me incredibly sad to know how much of their lives she is going to miss out on and them on hers. She loved them with every ounce of her body. I pray that she is watching down on them from heaven and getting to watch them grow. We love you Grammy!!

Ringing in the New Year
On New Years Eve, we spent the day with The Smiths & Owens. We ate, played, set off fireworks, and wore the kids out! For the about 2 hours straight, the kids had plasma car races up and down their driveway.....and about 5 minutes into our drive home, all 3 of our kiddos were asleep. I'd call that a successful day! Thank you for having us Pamela & Lee, it was a great way to finish off the year!
And Lex made one of our favorite meals of the year on New Years Day! The kids even loved it this year. Fred came up for dinner and as he was leaving, he handed the kids a big bag of coins to split....see kids you eat your greens and you'll get rich :) LOL! We are looking forward to 2017! Happy New Year!

Keeping Busy
The few days after Christmas was beautiful. The kids played outside with their new toys for almost 2 days straight....blisters and all!
Lindsay gave Katelyn a gift certificate to get her ears pierced, so we all met up to have it done on the 27th! Such a fun milestone!
And every second she wasn't outside, she was building all her new Lego Friends sets. She's basically got a whole town now!

Christmas Day - Santa Came!!
These kids were super thrilled on Christmas morning, all their wishes came true! They must have been good this year!
The aftermath :)
In the afternoon we went down to the ranch to celebrate with Pappy & Lindsay. We arrived around 1:30 and this 4 wheeler didn't stop until the sun went down!! I'd say it was a big hit....everyone got a turn, even Kyler got it going!
Hard at work....
Katelyn made paper presents for everyone this year and wrapped them all herself. She got super creative with some of them. Pappy got a hat. She worked hard on these for days, I love her giving, hard working spirit!
Still at it....
Merry Christmas to all!
