Happy Valentines Day

We had a great time celebrating Valentine's Day with our little loves! Levi had his party on Monday, since he's not in school on Tuesdays - it was super cute and so low key compared to elementary school parties. Have I mentioned how much I love the preschool age :) I made these little conversation heart cookies for his class, although it was a breakfast themed party, so after pancakes and fruit, we decided not to serve the cookies right away and they saved them for an after lunch treat.

We started the day with CANDY and I decided to just let them eat whatever sugar they wanted that day.....here they are after Katelyn got home from school pretending to show me their stomach aches - I'm pretty sure Katelyn had cake for breakfast, cake for snack and a cookie for lunch that day with candy strung in between all day long....just thinking about it makes me cringe :)

We surprised the kids with a trip to the San Antonio Rodeo that afternoon. It was a perfect night - not too cold and small crowds. Our intent was to stay for the concert, but after touring around the petting zoo, livestock shows, milking a cow demonstration, pig races, and the actual rodeo we decided to leave around 8:40 and just couldn't keep the kids up that late on a school night for the concert. We had a fun Family Valentine's Night.

And here are a few pictures their teachers sent me from school....Katelyn class exchanging valentine's.

And Levi's teacher created this sweet picture too!
