Channing is married!

Channing & Patrick Harder
October 6, 2018

First we got fancy....so we had to take pics!

Now it's wedding time. They had the wedding at the cutest little place in Decatur, TX. Perfect spot for a chapel wedding and outdoor reception.

Here they all come....

Congratulations! We wish you both a lifetime of happiness!

Now time to party!

Unfortunately, it started raining after they cut the cake and the dancing was just beginning. So we all ran into the indoor reception area and they brought out these fun light up sticks. We stayed for a song or two and then decided we better head back to Carrollton, since it was getting late and we had an hour plus drive. So happy for these two! I hope they are enjoying their honeymoon in Italy!

And I stole this pic from Valarie's FB page...isn't this the cutest picture of Channing and her bridesmaids! Love it!

Texas State Fair

We took advantage of having a three day weekend in Dallas for Channing's wedding and went to the State Fair with Mimi & Pops on Sunday. We rode the train into downtown and it dropped us right at the entrance of Fair Park. We hit all the highlights....Big Tex, Fletcher's Corny Dogs, the car show, midway rides, petting zoo, the Little Hands on the Farm exhibit, and lots and lots of walking. Thanks for a good time, Mimi & Pops! There was so much more to see, you really could go several days and not see it all. It's huge!

Three sleepy kids on the way home (Levi had been asleep, but when I tried to take the pic he opened his eyes...so I told him to pretend to sleep again, but he couldn't do it without smiling...LOL!)

House Update - Floors

It rained a bunch in September....so not a lot happened on the house. They did however install the new wood floors and refinish the original wood to match. We love the color, it's going to look so good! The painters have been in the house for about a week now, prepping to paint. TODAY they start priming and then it starts getting real. I've already given them all the paint colors, so we should be about 3 1/2 weeks out from a completely painted house. They will be doing the walls first, then closets, then trim and cabinets. Last they will do the exterior. Once that is complete, then it's just a matter of getting the plumbing and electrical fixtures installed!! With landscaping started sometime in there too, that we plan to do ourselves. Really hoping we'll be moved in by Thanksgiving, so we can celebrate Christmas in the new house!
