September Fun

For Labor Day we went exploring around New Braunfels. Of couse, we hit up Buccees on our road trip for icees and a picnic lunch!

We ended up going to a splash pad and explored around Landa Park. We played in the river, road the mini train and the kids climbed around on all the playground equipment. We realized on this trip, New Braunfels, is about the same distance as going to our old house on the North West Side of San Antonio. We had fun exploring and hanging out as a family!

For Lex's birthday, all he really wanted was to cook out with steaks from Dean & Peelers, so we had Pappy over and did just that! Happy 38th Birthday, Lex!! The kids all made him pretty special cards too (that's what he's opening in the pic below).

Mimi & Pops came to visit us not long after that and we hit up the STEAM Expo at the Floresville Event Center. There were quite a few neat things to check out....like powering a blender with a bicycle to make your own smoothie. The kids loved this!

A huge Lego display

And creating your own rocket and getting to launch it...the boys loved this!

Around the house, the always have fun using whatever they can find to entertain themselves. Especially lots of cardboard boxes....they turn into trains, forts, houses, etc. Never ending entertainment!

This boy loves books! This month he surprised me by having a whole Elephant & Piggie book memorized. We'd read it less than 5 times and all of a sudden, he told me he wanted to "read it to me", so he did! I've got a video, it's pretty impressive!!

And of course, they are all enjoying Lindsay's riding lawnmower....a dream come true for all these "kids".....including Lex! Thanks for passing it along to us, Lindsay. It makes mowing the lawn way more entertaining!

Kyler loves art these days too. He's painting here, but our entire house is covered in pumpkins, snakes, ghosts, etc. now too. He is getting us ready for Halloween!

We also had quite a bit of sickness this month. It started with Kyler. He had a slight fever one day, then a few days later this rash showed up. It's lasted 3 weeks now, definitely getting better, but crazy how long it's lasted. The docs say it's just viral and it'll go away, so a little benedry to help each day and were still waiting for it to go away completely.

Then the next week, Levi threw up at school. He was tired, but fine by that afternoon. Then a few days later Katelyn got it, but it lasted 4/5 days for her. She basically didn't eat for 5 days. Sweet sick girl. Then the next weekend, Levi got it again. This time it was worse and he was sick all through the night, but luckily better the next morning. We've all been healthy for a week now, so I really hope we stay that way!!

We've really enjoyed getting to know more of our Poth cousins since we moved here too. The kiddos (especially Katelyn), love all their girl cousins that live so close!

Riding bikes here is way more fun than our old house!

And the library has this neat little playhouse!

For my birthday, Mimi met Kyler and I at the outlet mall in San Marcos and I went shopping with some birthday money! Love my new purse and wallet!! I also got some sweet cards from the kiddos and a great dinner with the fam!

Levi lost another tooth, his third! Cutie pie!

Preschool Days are the best! Loving my time with this sweet boy!
