Kyler is FIVE

We had a little party at our house this past Saturday to celebrate this sweet boy! He has grown up so fast! He is wise beyond his years, a thinker, always listening when we don't know it, oh so silly, imaginative, artsy, and keeps himself entertained with smallest and oddest objects....give him a paperclip and a rock and it turns into a spaceship attacking a robot, etc. We love watching him grow and learn and can't wait to see what all he can do in the next year. Starting kinder in the fall is such a big deal, not for him, but for me! Being the baby, it's going to be hard to send him off for 5 days a week. I have no doubt he'll do great though.  

He asked us not to tell him when his actualy birthday was, so we could surprise him! We all did a great job, until Levi started getting excited the night before and telling him a little too much. Kyler caught on and knew his birthday was the next day.....but we were determined to still surprise him. So we all woke up super early and hid behind the couches with the lights off. I went in and woke him up, but apparently he wasn't ready to get up, so Lex had to go back in and try again. He ended up tossing balls at him in bed to get him up....LOL. (just stuffed soft balls, no worries, no kids got hurt during this) He finally came into the living room and we all jumped out and yelled Happy Birthday! He was definitely surprised.....er....scared! LOL! 

I found a great deal on his little John Deere gator and he (and Levi) are loving it so far! He told me today that this is by far his favorite present ever! He also got a little robot toy, some legos, craft supplies, play doh, etc. He was feeling a little under the weather, so we just stayed home all day playing with his new toys. 

Birthday breakfast request.....oatmeal with blueberries and iced coffee (mainly almond milk with a splash of coffee)

We also made cupcakes to send to school the next day.

Dinner was pizza and cupcakes on the patio as a family! 

And he busted out the water balloons that he got from his party! Perfect way to end his 5th birthday!

8. What is your favorite snack? "Goldfish - I always have goldfish at school, like everyday at school."

9. What is your favorite animal? "Sheep - they ate really fast out of my hand at the Petting Zoo. Mommy, I mean a dog too. "

11. What is your favorite book? The new super hero books that have a read to me handheld device.

14. What is your favorite thing to do outside? Drive my new gator
