Soccer

Kyler is enjoying soccer so far too. It look him a few practices and games to get used to us watching him the whole time. He was really thrown off by us "staring" at him. But this last game, he stayed more focused on the game and actually scored a goal! YAY!

Levi and Blake played around with the camera and got a few cool pics!

Inlcuding the double rainbow!

Softball

Softball as been a lot of fun! She's learned a lot and is enjoying spending time with friends! Plus, she looks pretty cute in her outfit!

Birthday Fun

Lex and I turned 39 this year! One more year till, 40! That's crazy! We are very blessed with this sweet family of ours and pray for many more happy, healthy years ahead!

My breakfast in bed!! And dinner at La Gloria's at the Pearl.

Poindexter Girls Retreat - Pflugerville, TX

The second weekend in September we spend with our Poindexter family women. Toni rented a house in Pflugerville that slept 20 and it was perfect. We ate, played bingo, did a halloween craft, shopped at the outlet mall, etc. We really enjoy the time we get with them. Can't wait until next year!

While we were gone, the boys went to Hadley's 5th Birthday party at Incredible Pizza. They were pretty pumped to get to ride Go Karts!

And Katelyn begged me to ride this trampoline thing at the outlet mall! FUN!

School and Around the House in September

This was a big reality check for me....look how much they've grown in just two years! The 2017 pictures were taken when we were first considering moving to Poth....and look at them now! Wow, 2 years has flown by!

Just a quick backpack pic as we head to school one morning!

And a flashback pic of Lex's Kindergarten Class....I bet you can find him!

Friday Pep Rally Fun

And a big boy booster seat for this boy!

The Kinder and 2nd grade classes were able to purchase flexible seating for the kids this year with funds provided by the Education Foundation! They get to pick what type of seat they'd like to use when doing their work, they call them their "smart seats." Love this!

Mrs. Koether's Kinder class 2019

And today they are celebrating the end of their unit learning about the letter P....so they dressed as Poth Pirates and had a Picnic with pretzels and pumpkin candy!

Katelyn has been taking a lot more initiative around the house lately, and I'm loving the help. One Saturday, she negotiated a payout for each window she cleaned....she ended up cleaning them all!

And I am now officially a country girl. I can now drive a tractor and I helped Pam herd her cows today when they escaped into her yard! I'd call that official!

EVERYDAY after school Kyler likes to play school. He loves school so much, that he wants to be a Kindgarten teacher when he grows up now!

Friday Night Lights! We've only made it to one football game so far, but we had a blast!

Katelyn reading to Kyler....I didn't even ask them to do this! Love it!

Eye Test fishy....he was really taken aback by getting his eyes checked at school, but loved that he got to bring the little fishy home.

Another tooth is gone with no sights of new ones coming in! Love that toothless grin!

My little chef! Zoodles for the win!

When the wind picks up, but you want to play in the sandbox anyway, you put on your googles!

Our FIRST (and hopefully ONLY) Rattlesnake! Lex found it when he kicked the soccer ball into the trees, then went digging for it and found it hidden under these old clay pipes. He showed the kids and let them hear it rattle, so they'd know what to listen for if they see another one. Let's just hope that doesn't happen.

Piano practice...he's learning about hard work! And doesn't want to practice often, but is pretty proud once he gets it!

And just to show you all what I'm up to around here while the kids are in school.....

I've been decluttering a lot...and have found some pretty awesome treasures! I went through all my old jewelry and found so many things I needed to give away, but also found some really great pieces I had forgotten about! I love that I am finally able to spend time focusing on getting our lives in order. Now, once they are in order, I'm not sure what I'll do. Maybe a job, maybe volunteer work, we'll see. For now, I am focusing on a long list of "projects" I've been wanting to do around the house.

Like staining our picnic table and Pappy's chairs. Next week, I'll be staining my new desk Lex made me and putting new coat of black paint on our front porch rockers. There's always a project to be done!

BUT sometimes, I also sit down with a cup of coffee, lite a candle, and enjoy the quiet!
