The kids woke up to baskets full of goodies on Easter Sunday! Somehow the Easter bunny made it even during the quarantine, we were a little worried he wouldn't be able to make it. They got lots of sweets, new beach towels, cute t-shirts, and goggles. PLUS the clever little bunny left a scavenger hunt for the kids....they raced all over the house following clues like the one below that led them to the trunk of Lex's car...
It was a pool for the backyard!! Wahoo!! This Easter Bunny really went all out this year trying to make this quarantine a little more fun! Lucky for us!
The Poth community FB Moms group initiated a painted Easter Egg hunt around town. So Lex cut us some wooden eggs and the kids and I painted them for the yard. They turned out super cute! We drove around town "hunting" for other eggs and found about 60+. Although others went out and found over 120! We drove by all the kids friends houses and it made for a fun little adventure out of the house. We even got to wave at a few friends from the road!
We had our neighbor cousins over to paint eggs in the yard one afternoon, but made sure to keep our 6ft. distance! Sure was nice to be around some of our favs!
Now it's time for the BIG HUNT!
LOTS of CANDY & MONEY!
We made big lunch, including carrot cake from scratch and a keto lemon pound cake (that looked delish, but was not!!)
Grace Bible offered Easter service bags to pick up for the Easter service. So we had the Lord's Supper and lots of fun activities for the kids to color and such while we watched Easter Service on TV. Although it's not ideal, watching church on TV has opened up the kids to "big church" more. They are starting to listen to both the kid church service and big church, which has been really good.
We took a drive over the ranch to drop off Easter lunch for Pappy, but kept our distance. We were glad to at least get a few minutes to visit with him on Easter!
Then we headed home to set up the pool and have a zoom call with my fam too.
Definitely an Easter to remember!
