Father's Day Weekend

We are so thankful for all the Father's in our family! They are the best and take care of us all so well! Lex requested food for Father's Day....Keto Egg Muffins for breakfast and Lasagna for dinner! These kiddos love their Daddy so much!

We also spent Friday night at the Ranch with Pappy. We had a great time playing, visiting, eating, fishing, and feeding the deer. It was a great little vacation and we are so thankful for all Pappy does for us! We love you!

And not to ever be forgotten, Pops, who we couldn't see this year due to COVID-19....but we can't wait to see him soon!! We sent him BBQ for lunch with cards from the kiddos and a little gift. Sure wish we could have been up there to celebrate with him! Love you POPS!

Concordia VBS

Concordia Lutheran in SA does a great VBS every year. When we lived up there, the kids went every year to their VBS since I did MOPS at that church. A friend posted they were going virtual this year, so I signed us up and we loved it. They gave us a shopping list for the crafts and snacks ahead of time so we could be prepared for each day.

They made shields, castles, prayer boxes and fun snacks throughout the week. And most of all, they learned some new bible stories. They looked forward to it each day!

Rockport Beach

We took a day trip to Rockport a couple of weeks ago and had a great time, despite the crowds and the jellyfish! The water was swarming with jellyfish! I've never seen it like that before. Luckily even though the kids got "stung" they said it mostly just itched.

We were setting up camp and Kyler came back from the water and said he though he touched a sting ray. So I went to check it out. He thought it was a trash bag, so he touched the top and then realized it was alive! He didn't get the name right, but he was correct that it can sting! YIKES! Luckily he touched the top and did not get stung, that time at least! We ended up staying all day and just collected the jellyfish in our buckets and stayed in shallow water where we could see where we were stepping.

It was still great to be at the beach, but we'll have to try again this summer so we can actually play in the water!

These are buckets full of jellyfish!

And we found hermit crabs on our walk down the beach! So cute!

They fed the seaguls from our leftover lunch, too!

Although it was crowded, we easily stayed more than 6 feet away from the other beach goers! Minus that little girl that played with Katelyn in the sand.

Around town

Our city park is open! So we got donuts and took our bikes to the park to ride and play! Again, so great to get away from the house for a bit!

We spotted this toad in the bathroom! It was huge!

Levi also went to Jackson's birthday party and had a blast!

And of course, more swimming in our little pool too!

God's promises always come true! No fear here!

Wonder World Park

Lex had an extra day off of work on Memorial Day weekend, so we headed up to Wonder World Park for the day. Levi was supposed to go here for his school field trip, so we thought we'd check it out as a family field trip. I bought tickets online before we left that morning and they happen to have a family special, so we basically got the "school field trip" rate! Which I always love a good deal, so this made me happy!

This parakeet was pretty funny!

We had the entire train tour to ourselves! Socially distancing perfection!

A little Connect 4  competition while we waited for our cave tour to begin.

We also had our own personal cave tour, they even sanitize all the hand rails between tours! We all loved this!

We loved getting out and about for the day!
