Other September Pics

I just love this picture of Drew! We miss seeing you, but love to see you doing so well!

Katelyn got her first 2 serves over in her last volleyball game this week, she was so excited!! Keep getting stronger!

Kyler started soccer this past week as well and is starting to get the hang of it. He played in Kinder, but was a little unsure of it all his first practice. This week he was used by his coach to show the other kids how to do a drill, he was pumped!

And Levi loved building this egg drop contracption with Lex for school. Today they drop them to see who's egg doesn't break....he's so excited! Lucky he has an engineer for a Daddy! I didn't take a picture of the final product, but they made an exoskeleton out of popsicle sticks, stuffed it with cotton balls, wrapped it with bubble wrap, decorated it with duct tape and a Nasa symbol, then added a parachute. All tests have proven to not break the egg! Great job boys!!

Student Council elections are this week! We had fun making these posters. The colorful one is actually written backwards, she hung it behind the mirror in the bathroom so you can only read it while your washing your hands :)

Kyler's was busy making books when he was home quarantined and advertised around the house to we would know what book was next.....Captain Poop....haha!

I was on a work call and he was the only kid home, so he wrote me a note and stuck it under my door....he found a gecko!! LOL!

Cute Selfie Katelyn sent me on the bus to a volleyball game....her friend Mariella is amazing at French braids! Wish I could do them this good!

Lots more fun to come now that we've busted out of quarantine!!

JH Cheer

Katelyn is loving cheer! We are so proud and excited to watch her out there leading the crowd! Great job sweet girl!

Happy Birthday, Lex!!

Lex's Birthday was a very low key this year, we were all home on quarantine, so luckily with Amazon deliveries and HEB curbside, I was able to make it at least a little special. He is one to be celebrated, for sure! I couldn't have survived all this without all his help. Thankful he was able to work from home and be here for us all! He does so much for our little family and we love him so!

Happy 41st Birthday!! We love you!

COVID Craziness

Well, COVID ran through our house and now it's behind us! It was really inevitable, considering how it was running through the schools, but we are so thankful we all had fairly mild symptoms. Katelyn ran cross country on Sat. the 28th and got 4th overall, 1st for 7th grade girls.....that evening about 8:30, she got chills and her fever began, it really came on so fast. She had it the worst, with a fever for about 4 days. With Motrin, she did very well and just rested and enjoyed getting extra tv time & breakfast in bed! She pretty much stayed in the guest room, trying to keep the rest of us from catching it, but it's hard to keep anyone secluded, so about 10 days later....Kyler and I tested positive. Kyler had cough for one day and lost his sense of smell. I had a bad headache and a low grade fever, it felt more like a sinus infection, all in my head. We kept testing Levi as he did get a runny nose and a cough, but he must have had allergies because he kept testing negative. Lex too, stayed healthy through most of it, but also ended up getting allergy type symptoms and about a week into my positive test he had a low grade fever too, so we think he may have gotten at that point, but we ran out of at-home tests, so he never actually tested. Overall, the hardest part was keeping everyone home, missing out on sports and activities, and home schooling, etc. We are so thankful to be back into our normal routines and full of antibodies!!!

It was nice to spend 3 weeks at home though, felt a little bit like summer again! Lots of swimming, playing, and extra tv time! But trying to work and get school work done in-between all that was a bit stressful. We were very thankful to have a pool and some land to play around on at least!

One afternoon, we went driving through the country looking for some rocks to finish out our rock pathway out to the pool! It was super successful and we now have a completed walkway. Next up, flowerbeds!

A little burn pile time, yard work, and practicing French braids!
