COVID Craziness

Well, COVID ran through our house and now it's behind us! It was really inevitable, considering how it was running through the schools, but we are so thankful we all had fairly mild symptoms. Katelyn ran cross country on Sat. the 28th and got 4th overall, 1st for 7th grade girls.....that evening about 8:30, she got chills and her fever began, it really came on so fast. She had it the worst, with a fever for about 4 days. With Motrin, she did very well and just rested and enjoyed getting extra tv time & breakfast in bed! She pretty much stayed in the guest room, trying to keep the rest of us from catching it, but it's hard to keep anyone secluded, so about 10 days later....Kyler and I tested positive. Kyler had cough for one day and lost his sense of smell. I had a bad headache and a low grade fever, it felt more like a sinus infection, all in my head. We kept testing Levi as he did get a runny nose and a cough, but he must have had allergies because he kept testing negative. Lex too, stayed healthy through most of it, but also ended up getting allergy type symptoms and about a week into my positive test he had a low grade fever too, so we think he may have gotten at that point, but we ran out of at-home tests, so he never actually tested. Overall, the hardest part was keeping everyone home, missing out on sports and activities, and home schooling, etc. We are so thankful to be back into our normal routines and full of antibodies!!!

It was nice to spend 3 weeks at home though, felt a little bit like summer again! Lots of swimming, playing, and extra tv time! But trying to work and get school work done in-between all that was a bit stressful. We were very thankful to have a pool and some land to play around on at least!

One afternoon, we went driving through the country looking for some rocks to finish out our rock pathway out to the pool! It was super successful and we now have a completed walkway. Next up, flowerbeds!

A little burn pile time, yard work, and practicing French braids!
